The SH 124 Kill Pot is a unique potentiometer with a momentary push switch for electric guitars. It momentarily kills the sound by pushing it down and automatically springs back when released. This can be used create extraordinary machine gun sound effects, or other rhythmic muting without sacrificing the life of your toggle switch. You can install the SH 124 Kill Pot easily in any common electric guitar, and because of its 16 mm bushing it even suits arch-top guitars like Les-Pauls. The SH 124 replaces either the standard volume or tone potentiometer of your electric guitar but still functions as a standard potentiometer so you do not lose any control.

Super awesome concept. Everything works on it, just wish there was alittle more resistance in the knob.

A great kill switch. I'm using it for a different function at present, but it's solidly built and works great.

I'm a full time guitar tech and recently installed this in a customer's guitar because he didn't want to add any extra holes or lose any controls. It works very well with just the right amount of mechanical resistance, and it functions super silently. Couldn't be happier with it!

Wired as a volume pot but the kill function did not work. Notified Kaish(?) and they sent me another. The replacement did not work either.Notified the company again and they said they’d refund my money. It’s a great idea and the company seems legit. If they could work the bugs out and use a regular size CTS pot they’d sell a shipload of these things!

fue una pesadilla instalarlo ya que las istrucciones que trae son claras. una ves instalado su tcto es un poco duro, pero con mucho uso el tacto puede mejorar

This pot is very poor quality, it is loose and turns without any friction, that means you play one song then realise the volume has changed, the killswitch doesn’t even work, when you push it is supposed to cut the signal but it doesn’t.

I purchased this about a year ago.. had it a weekend and it flaked out. So I ordered a replacement and that one was flaky but worked up until I just picked it up a week ago.. completely stopped working… I wire guitarsAll the time have installed expensive pickups like bareknuckles & fishmans all the way to cheap pickups like the fleor (pictured) and all of the wire harnesses and pots that go to them. so it is definitely not anything I did.. this potentiometer is just the lowest quality I’ve ever run across. EVER. save your money and time. It’s a good idea but a really horrible execution! you are better off with a pot and a separate kill switch. which is what I will now be installing instead..

Took a bit of working the knob up and down to finally get it to work correctly. The soldering on the back looks as it has been reworked. We'll see how long it will last. Nifty idea but i don't have faith in it.Edit: After a couple years passed by, the shadow pot has held up. I actually enjoy it . Maybe just an odd pot for me in the beginning.
