This Shaperluv for Me Compression Shirt is essentially a slightly tight tank top. There is very little compression.My husband (5'9" and 220 lbs) is wearing a neoprene vest under the compression shirt (he was working out when the mail arrived). You can see where the "thicker" sections of the compression shirt are (though they really are not that thick) and you can see the weird vertical scrunching sections on the belly portion.There is no chest compression and really no belly compression.He stated that he'd wear the shirt under thin light colored shirts, but that's about all it is good for.There was no sizing option (or sizing chart) for this product and what we received was a XXL.We discussed whether a smaller size would provide greater compression, but the material is so thin and the knit of the fabric so loose that neither of us thought a smaller size would result in any better compression.So, don't be duped by the photos in the listing or others that say great things about this shirt.If you are looking for real compression, look elsewhere.

I was hoping this would be more of an athletic compression shirt, but instead, this is like a girdle for men. It’s a very thin non-breathable fabric and as far as I can tell doesn’t really compress all that well. If you have a belly without this shirt on, you’re still going to have a belly with this shirt on—you’re not going to magically fit into those size 32 pants you’ve been hanging onto from your college days (seriously, give them away already). This was very meh.

Surprisingly, this is pretty comfortable and it definitely works well. I felt an immediate correction to my posture as well as flattening out my stomach. I think I am going to get a few more of them so I can wear them more often. Very pleased with it

More of a thing girdle or tight undershirt. Definitely not a shaper. Also nothing on the item tags etc identifies this with the brand name.

I found this to be just okay. It definitely provides a tight, compressed fit and helps a bit with shaping under clothes, but it doesn’t quite live up to the claims of hiding fat or dramatically slimming your figure. I have a very small belly—barely noticeable in most shirts—and even then, I didn’t see much of a difference in terms of flattening. The compression might help smooth things out slightly, but don’t expect it to make your stomach disappear.What it does do well is make you more aware of your posture. That tightness around your core acts like a constant nudge to stand straighter and engage your abs, which isn’t a bad thing. Over time, that awareness could support better posture habits, which naturally improves how your clothes fit.Fit-wise, I really question the fabric blend listed. The tag says 80% cotton and 20% spandex, but it feels more like the other way around. It has that slick, synthetic texture and cling that’s typical of spandex-heavy garments—not the breathable, natural feel of cotton. It’s also a bit of a struggle to get on and off, especially if you’re on the bigger or taller side. Once it’s on, it stays in place well, but if you're not used to compression gear, it’ll take some adjusting.Bottom line: if you're looking for a dramatic change in your figure by wearing this alone, you may be disappointed. It’s more of a supportive undergarment than a transformative one. Still, if your goal is to smooth things slightly, improve posture, or just have a firmer-feeling base layer under clothes, it might be worth a try. Just go in with realistic expectations.

Sometimes a compression shirt has too much compression up top and not enough around the belly, but this shirt is perfect, maybe because it's a tank top. The top part is very, very comfortable compared to a full undershirt, and the belly compression is just about right - I'd say medium based on what I've experienced so far. Outer shirts don't snag on it, even though there is a tiny bit of texture to the belly part.One caveat - it was one of the worst smelling items I've ever unbagged, which is saying something. I had to immediately hand wash it before I could even handle it much. But once I did that - everything was fine, and it dried out fairly quickly on a drying rack.I highly recommend this shirt - one of my new favorites.
