This package is directed to a specific use, which is joining gymnastics mats that have a carpet face. This is standard wide hook and loop fastener material. ONLY the hook half is provided. The gym mats that are to be fastened together to form a padded floor are the loop portion. If this is what you need, this package of hook fabric fastener is a good value.

Although this is sold as attaching gym mats, it can be used on fabrics by sewing it on. The backing is smooth, not self adhesive or loop material, so it won't attach to itself. There are 6 massive rolls of hook material included, totaling 252 feet (42 foot length each). So almost a lifetime supply if you aren't attaching gym mats.
