My antenna had the tail, so I removed the plastis plate inside, and clipped off the plastic tabs inside, make sure t clean plastic off the 5 screws sticking up from car base. I used gorilla glue flexible clear sealant. Make sure you've shaved all the tabs inside the cover to get a good seating. clean up the roof of your car, tape it off with painters tape, and use a soft brush with some rubbing alcohol to clean antenna base. when you are read y carefully but quickly spread a bead of glue around inside lip, a touch on each screw hole, and along the ridge, Then a bead along the rubber base's side then push down antenna cap to base. Place a moderately heavy box on top of base to keep a bit of pressure. leave for about and hour then check your work. remove tape, clean up with a clean rag with rubbing alcohol. Whew!
