Useful but way over priced. Someone is making a lot of money of something that would cost nothing to make. Almost sent it back

I had no idea these existed until an instructor suggested purchasing this for use with my fused glass work. So much better than trying to sprinkle with a spoon. Works extremely well to spread glass frit evenly. Very good value.

Perfect for sifting enamel powders on smaller jewelry items. It's just what I was looking for!

I am teaching myself to do torch-fired enameling. I am definitely a beginner so this review will be from a beginner's perspective.First, realize that 1/2 inch is pretty tiny. This is a tiny and cute little tool! You will actually probably want several different sizes of sifters and I did order a larger one as well. But this is good if you are working on smaller pieces (I have some copper blanks I am using that are less than a half inch in at least one dimension) because even though you can collect and re-use excess enamel powder that goes over the edges of your piece, there is less clean-up involved by using this sifter when you are working with smaller projects. This seems sturdy and well-made. The handle is a type of (thick) twisted wire and is easy to grip. Although the item is pictured smaller than actual size, the photo is good for assessing proportionality of the handle. I actually like the length of the handle; it is just right for me in terms of how close I want my hand to my work. I feel I would have less control with a longer handle. The enamel powder goes through the mesh at an appropriate rate (not too fast and not too slow; I am just using enamels from a beginner set with multiple colors at this point and am not sure of the brand). This is easy to clean, as well.I may not know all the ins and outs of the enameling process yet, but this is definitely working well for me as a beginner.

I have been using this enamel sifter for quite some time and it still performs like it was brand new. It sifts the enamel in an even and uniform fashion on my copper pieces for fire torched enameling. It has a smaller handle making it easy for me to steady it over my copper to sift. The handle also has ridges in it to sift with vibration for a more even coat of the enamel.I would recommend this sifter to anyone who is looking into powder enameling.

Great for powdered glass or enamel! This sifter allows for you to deposit powdered glass or enamel in very specific locations - as opposed to generally sifting powder over a larger area. Great tool!
