I purchased this air gun for my stepson to help with gopher control around the yard, for which it works excellently. We especially appreciate its solidity, which makes aiming from a supported position and repeat shots easy. One concern is how much this air gun looks like an actual rifle. I had my stepson add some bright tape to the stock and barrel to make it a little harder to mistake it for the real thing.

It might be from me buying low quality pellets but i feel like it jams a lot even for that and i have oiled everything that moves to make sure it wasnt from something simple like that but it fails at least once a clip

This rifle is very well made, a bit heavy. I have found it very accurate with both the stock sights and a Pinty scope. Using my calibrated Chronograph I measured a consistent 816-842 Ft/sec on a new cartridge. This is also using a 12gm cartridge adapter. I use my pellet guns for a squirrel problem and shoot perhaps six rounds at a time. A 90gm bottle would probably leak down between sessions, the 12gm is perfect. The 30 round belt is super smooth and consistent, no jams.Update, I definitely got a good one, it has just gotten stronger and faster. I now have perhaps a dozen cartridges through and with a brand new cartridge, Crosman Destroyer pellet check out the first shot through the chronograph.Update for a jam. I have had one jam and it is my fault. The cartridge can be put in just short of the end and will hold in place, when fired the pellet will not exit but will protrude just enough to lock the cartridge. The fix it to use a rod and push the pellet back and that will release the cartridge. The solution is to be sure to full seat the cartridge other than that this thing has been amazing.Update after 4 years. I see owners complaining about jam, I have had one jam in four years and thousands of pellets hit their mark. I learned immediately what is causing the jam. The pellets when inserted into the belt need to be push in or seated. If they are just dropped in, guarantee it will jam. I use a small screwdriver to do a final press in of each pellet, works perfectly.

I mean super solid, one of the best pellet guns out there. Yes sometimes you might get one that doesnt work 100%. But thats very rare. I sorry to say am one of those people. But do intend to buy anouther. I hv used friends and what an expierience as a gun and pellet gun enthusiest. This is the only one u will need. The power, the look, how its made. I hv a real one and theres not much diff in size and weight. They do a great job on this gun. Just mk sure you shoot it in closed areas or on big pieces of land or your next door neighbor, that just whatched hitman will call the cops on you out of fear. Lol. Im dead serious and they are allowed to confiscate it from u and will write u a summons or if the cop is just a jerk arrest u for the night. And if they come drop it on the ground as fast as you can thdy will shoot to kill. Im dead serious. But hv fun with it, i love it. Great piece. Go buys yours before the price goes up.Thanks,Barry S

I have been a big fan of Sig Sauer firearms since acquiring my first one, a p226 in 9mm, almost 20 years ago. There's a certain level of craftsmanship, and quality of materials used, you come to expect from Sigarms and this air rifle certainly carries on that tradition.Constructed mostly of metal, this rifle has some real heft to it, nearly matching it's centerfire big brother in weight. Mock suppressor is all metal. Iron sights are fully adjustable (for windage And elevation) and also of all metal construct. Not like the cheap plastic non adjustable ones that you'll find on most other air rifles. Very nice.Full picatinny rail runs from the top of the barrel end of the handguard and length of the "upper receiver" to the charging handle. This is the only accessory rail. Both side and bottom of handguard is key mod. Would like to have seen a rail running beneath the hand guard but no biggie as keymod picatinny rail sections are cheap and easy to obtain. But....... (there's always a but)As much quality and craftsmanship that went into producing this rifle, the same can't be said about the magazine. Being such an integral part of how this rifle operates, it's the one piece that will probably give shooters the most problem. It's plastic feels cheap and I don't think it would survive if accidently dropped. Though it fits snuggly within the magazine well, it doesn't flow with the rest of the rifle. Almost like it was an afterthought. Only time will tell how it holds up.The buttstock does not collapse as this is where the 88 or 90g Co2 cartridge is housed. And as such, this is the only stock available that I'm aware of and the inability to attach a folding or collapsible stock can be a big factor for some when deciding whether or not to purchase. I, like a lot of owners of firearms, enjoy being able to customize their guns. Unfortunately, this limits that enjoyment. All in all a very well made and fun rifle to spend the day punching holes in paper targets or dispatching those pesky aluminum cans. Aside from what I perceive as areas of weakness, this rifle rivals it's competitors in both quality and build. Amazing that they were able to keep its purchase price at $199.Oh BTW, the mock suppressor unscrews and is removable revealing the actual rifle barrel. I'm hoping that there will be aftermarket mock barrels that can be screwed in. I like the look of the mock suppressor but having the ability to change it out would be a major plus in its "customizability".
