UPDATE: 03/22/2024 As stated in my initial review below, while I absolutely loved this bed and found it perfectly comfortable at first, it did develop compression and sagging after only about 3-4 years, in spite of rotating the bed often. As the bed does have a 10-year warranty, I went to the company website and chatted with them about my issues with the mattress, and they offered a resolution that was more than fair. I have changed my review from 4-star to 5 because of the amazing customer service, and I would most definitely order a mattress from them again in the future.*******I suffer from debilitating chronic full-body pain and insomnia, and this mattress pretty much saved my life. It has the perfect amount of support. I'm usually a side sleeper, but all sleeping positions were comfortable with this mattress. We did allow the full amount of time for the mattress to inflate, and there were no problems with reaching the full 12 inch height as advertised, no terrible chemical smell (the faint smell it did have dissipated in a couple of hours). We don't sleep too hot on this, and haven't needed a foam topper, the comfort level was perfect as is.The bad, though, is that after only 3 years of sleeping on it this mattress there is now a lot of sagging on each side. We have rotated the mattress every other month, but it's at a point where this doesn't make a difference, and suddenly my chronic pain has returned. Signature Sleep seems to be a great company, and I'm extremely hopeful that they will honor the warrantee because of the significant sagging that has occurred in such a short amount of time, because when this mattress was in its prime, nothing could match it. I will be reaching out to the company soon to get detailed instructions on how to make a claim for a replacement. However, even with this said, this mattress is indeed a good good purchase. This was the most comfortable bed I've ever owned, and especially if they stand by their 10 year warranty - it's possible that the sagging that I've experienced with this bed may be just a fluke, and the replacement bed will last a much longer amount of time. If that is the case, Signature Sleep will have me as a customer for life for their top notch quality products and service. Thank you for saving me from sleepless nights and allowing me a respite from my pain. I will update this review once I've been in touch with the company, and hopefully will be able to change this to a 5-star review.

Purchased this DHP Signature Sleep 8" Memory Foam Mattress for our grandchild - in fact, purchased three of them. They came tightly packaged but opened beautifully and plumped up evenly. We didn't use them for 24 hours as suggested, and were pleased they did not have any strong, objectionable odours. I purchased mattress protectors, and sheets stay on the mattress without shifting. The mattresses are very comfortable and appreciated by those sleeping on them. We were very fortunate to find them on sale for $99 at Amazon.ca.

I bought two for loft beds I had built for my kids [ 9 and 14 ].Both love the mattresses, which I can say are very comfortable for both the kids and myself, as I read with my 9 year old in his bed at night.questions regarding the overall thickness of the mattress, when expanded, are a non issue in my mind. They are firm enough, and comfortable enough, despite what I've read of the .9 of an inch discrepancies I have heard of.The point is that my kids and I are extremely happy with this product and I will likely end up purchasing 2 more when I make loft beds for my other two kids.

After reading reviews, I decided to purchase this mattress in a double size. This mattress takes 48 hours to fully expand properly. I tried to lay on it after just 24 hours, and it was too soft to support my hips. This mattress is just as comfortable as the one's I tried in the mattress and furniture storess.Update: No more tossing and turning for me! Cant wait for my Hercules bed frame to arrive tomorrow!! Love Amazon!!!-

This mattress is pretty comfortable. It is about a medium softness, so if you like firm beds, this might not be for you. My issue with this mattress is that it has taken a really long time to decompress from the vacuum package that it was shipped in. The edges and corners are still really compressed after 2 full days of being open (the instructions say it should take 48hrs). I'm hoping it gets to it's intended shape eventually.

A full size memory foam mattress, brand new, delivered to your door. The full size was actually in a cardboard box wrapped up into a tight roll that then expands into a full size mattreess. There is a slight chemical odor at first which is to be expected from the new materials, this odor goes away within days.It takes 24-48 hours to expand to its full size after taking it out of the packaging. It is very soft and comfortable, and has made my sleep much better. And the price was so low...I am impressed.

We have been using this mattress for a week now, so I now feel comfortable writing an initial review (no pun intended).I like the mattress a lot, I ordered my kids twin inner spring mattresses from Amazon last year, so the rolled up vacuum packed mattress concept wasn't the novelty it was then, but was still kind of cool. Naturally the mattress is a bit heavy, my very healthy 19 year old son and I had no problem carrying it (still in the box) to my bedroom, we had more trouble carrying the old pillow top mattress out. The box has a cartoon of a tiny female loading the mattress in its box into her Mini and carrying it into her house, she must be a very strong woman, she would have to be to accomplish this by herself.Anyway, the mattress unrolled and inflated without issue, and didn't even have wrinkles on the cover.Once inflated and ready, we put the same sheets we used on our old pillow top on it, and they fit very well, and were easier to get the corners pulled down than the old mattress. We reused our old (very high quality, very good condition) box spring, and it doesn't seem to be a problem with this mattress at all. I have never used a memory foam mattress before, aside from trying them out in a couple of stores (After laying down on one I was hooked). I have always preferred a very firm mattress, my wife prefers a soft mattress, so we have never been able to find one that was just right for both of us, until now.The first few nights I was a little off put by the feeling when you first lay down on the mattress, it felt kind of mushy (remember, I like a very firm mattress), but once you lay down the mushy feeling goes away and everything feels nice and firm, not hard, and certainly not lumpy, just nice and firm, once you have sank down into it and it contours to your body, the feeling is hard to describe, but it is very comfortable and pleasant. My wife also really likes the mattress. We have both been sleeping better, and I wake up feeling more rested. Our old mattress wasn't completely worn out, but it was showing its age at eight years, and my wife was starting to complain. It wasn't until I slept on the new mattress that I realized how bad the old one was. I have minor back issues, and the old mattress wasn't helping matters, the new one does help them, since getting it I have been waking up feeling great. I had been waking up with minor pain in my back, and my knees and shoulders feeling a little stiff and aching a bit, I just chalked it up to getting older (I am 41, and have lived an action packed life, never holding back physically), but since changing mattresses I have felt great in the morning. I didn't realize it at first, I just woke up and went about my routine (I am not a morning person), a couple of days later I realized that when I stood up after drinking my cup of coffee that my back wasn't aching, and my knees weren't cracking, I also noticed that my shoulders felt fine.I won't say it was a life changing experience, it wasn't. What it was was a good reminder that you spend a huge part of your life in your bed, and compared to what you get out of it a few bucks more or less on a mattress is nothing, and with the prices for this mattress there is no reason to accept a worn out or poor quality mattress. My only concern is longevity, neither my wife or I are that overweight (I have to admit to suffering a bit of middle age spread, but no more than 20 pounds), so I would expect a quality inner spring mattress to last 6-10 years, and would like to think I will get that much out of this mattress, but if I don't I won't be upset, the price is half of what I expect to pay for a lower end quality traditional mattress, so if I replace it after three years, I will still be ahead, four years or more and it is still a bargain.I still have a few questions about this mattress, and concerns, but won't know the answers for a while. It is February in East GA, the weather is cool, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it holds too much heat until later in the spring. I honestly don't know how it will hold up over time, but I do know this, if it is still performing like it does now in two years, I will almost certainly replace it with another one just like it, if it lasts three years I promise you I will replace it with the same model. However it works out, I will update this review for better or worse.UPDATENearly three years later and I am still happy. One side is starting to get worn out, but that is my fault, I haven't rotated the mattress a single time, I don't think it would be an issue if I had. After a couple of long hot summers I have no complaints of the mattress being too hot. When it is time to replace it, I will get another memory foam, maybe this same model.
