I read through the instructions on the Ninja Crispi and it said that we didn’t need to use anything under the heating element, but we still thought that it would be a good idea to use one anyway.Originally we were using a stainless steel cutting board, but this silicone mat just makes much more sense.Plus it keeps our cutting board free. LOL….

When I got the Ninja Crispi, one of my concerns was the fact that the cover needs to be lain down sideways when cooking was finished otherwise the +400°F heating element would be a couple inches away from any surface and there’s no guarantee the surface would be heat resistant. It seems this is a concern with others for this product to be developed.The mat is made of silicone with a max temp of 500°F and fits the Crispi with or without the large ring adapter.It’s fairly thin at approx. 2mm thick but seems to be enough to provide good surface protection.The mat definitely makes it much more convenient to place the Ninja Crispi down on any surface the way it was designed to be placed. The upright placement makes it easy to grab the Crispi with one hand vs requiring 2 hands when placed on its side. I would highly recommend for anyone with a Ninja Crispi.At the time of this review, the mat was priced at $26.99.

This product is meant for use with the Ninja Crispi heating element. It fits nicely with or without the adapter. It’s used to prevent any damage to the countertop.

The size of this silicone resistant mat is a little off. It runs a little big for the PowerXL airfryer, but that could be my bad. Maybe I got the wrong one. I tried the mat with a corndog and it came out nice, and crispy. The mat is pretty thick, in a good way, and tells me that I should be able to get my money’s worth out of this, even though I believe it is already priced competitively.

This silicone mat is extra thick, providing improved protection for my countertop. One side is smooth, the other has a corrugated structure that increases grip AND provides more of a cushion of air underneath the mat. This mat can be used in any situation where providing protection from temperature extremes is needed, wood, glass, ceramic and stone. I am pleased with this mat.
