It's become increasingly difficult to find a quality spatula that doesn't melt or become frayed and heat-damaged. It's particularly concerning when you consider this lack of integrity means the materials surely make their way into our food. I don't even know how some of these products reach the shelves. I asume the key here is the silicone but whatever it is -- this one works! Perfect size, solid handle, good grip, great angle on the arm for in-close or small-pan work. And best of all -- I don't think its melting and leeching into my food! Love it. Absolutely love it.It's also shaped and angled perfectly for ergonomic and effective use. Dr. Best’s silicone spatula is a good quality spatula that is far superior to nylon. It is much safer to use at higher temperatures and its risk of leaching toxic chemicals is much less than nylon. The spatula is about compact to average sized, I would say. It is not the largest spatula and it is not the smallest. The actual area which is used to pick up or flip foods feels pretty sturdy to me. It doesn’t feel flimsy or light. I use this every day and would give it as a gift to anyone I care about who like to cook. Great item.

We love using this spatula for most fried items and for some baked items.First the good.Works really well for fried eggs, hamburgers, or similar items as long as they are fairly firm. I've experienced no melting or other issues with the edges of the spatula, and the wedge shaped edge works well for firm items.The spatula is a little on the thick side and the steepness of the wedge shape does not lend itself to using this for soft cookies or similar items. I had some issues with cookies crushing or breaking due to using this spatula vs a thinner spatula we have. However, the thinner spatula melts a little when using on really hot surfaces, so I'm happy to use this spatula for those situations.Overall,

One of the things I love to do is cooking and I am usually fond of spatullas and this one hits the spot right on. I consider it sturdy and flexible at the same time and also very manageable. The size is just right and the design and color is very agreeable to me.It has a solid plastic feeling to it while using it.What I much liked was the flexible tip, it handles very well.I used it today for flipping pancakes and it does the job very well. Very statistifed with this spatula.

My wife has a Teflon coated very thin straight edged turner that she uses, especially when cooking eggs. I handed her the Dr Best silicone turner the other morning when she was cooking eggs and her reaction was “yeah OK, looks nice”. I left her alone to finish. When she finished, she commented that the new turner got under the eggs better than the flat edged thin one she had, and nothing stuck to it as she cooked. I have since noticed its use, most of the time she is cooking. One use and she was convinced.

I'm so impressed with this spatula. All three that I have are plastic spatulas, quite old and outdated and well-loved and used. Unfortunately, eggs often seem to stick to the edges of them, greasy burger meat sticks to them and they're just not performing like they used to. Hence, the entrance of this handy, dandy little silicon spatula into my life.I've used this regularly since I got it and it always washes up nicely and so far nothing sticks to it at all. It is a bit heavier than the other spatulas I have and I am fond of that too. It has a substantial, quality feel to it that has made it my new favorite. Sorry old favorite spatula, sometimes things change and now there's a new sheriff in town. All hail the silicone spatula.

I had a spatula for 6 years and it has had a lot of use.. I needed a new one and this item did the trick It is so comfortable to use, hold, and does everything that I need it for I love it and it is so easy to clean!

Like my title says, this spatual is nice, simple and very well made. It is made of a hard Silicone material which I can say holds up to high heat. I have used it mainly to flip burgers on my propane and George Forman outdoor grill and this has been holding up great. The spatula is not flimsy by any means, it has a nice weight to it and feels very good in my hand. The spatula end has a bevel edge to make scooping up your meat easier, which really is. The handle end has a nice round comfortable grip with a built in loop hole in it. Best of all it is easy to clean, I have washed it by hand and in the dishwasher. I really like this spatula, I can highly recommend it.
