I like the ease of installation and the fact that the switch is no on the wall. Makes it very convenient to use. I have a granite countertop with a undermount sink. The countertop was new and had the installer drill the hole for me in the granite.
So disappointed in this model…

The button that you press to activate the disposal sticks up about 3/4 inch unlike the photo on the outside of the box. My plumber wouldn’t use it and installed a different brand. I only wish I had realized this was a problem before my return window had expired. I was unable to return it because I purchased it two months before the plumber installed it. I couldn’t even give it away to a neighbor who was remodeling his kitchen. He didn’t like the way it stuck up so high and wasn’t flush with the counter like others he looked at. What a disappointment and complete waste of money.

Everything needed was supplied and after the hole was drilled into the quartz it took about 30 minutes to install. The quality of the button is very high and the matte black matched perfectly with the faucet. Very impressed!

Much nicer looking than the basic insinkerator options and easy to install. Also a much more reasonable price than insinkerator accessories.

We used to have a switch on the wall next to the sink to run our garbage disposer. It was conveniently placed and was causing absolutely no trouble at all. But I always fretted about wet fingers, sometimes fingers wet with grease or dissolved food products, touching an electrical switch. So when we got new countertops, I decided to look into a safer, even MORE convenient way to turn the disposer on and off. The "air switch" was the logical choice, and I chose this model from Sinkingdom.I researched the topic for several days, and looked at 5-10 different types on Amazon and other websites, before deciding on this one. Sinkingdom makes several different types of air switch, as do the other manufacturers. Most of the ones you'll find are plastic, or have mostly plastic parts. (See an example in the third photo). Almost all the companies, including Sinkingdom, have the kind of switch where the button goes down below the surface of the sink to switch the disposer on and off. (An example of this type can be seen in the 4th picture). These switches have a small, low-profile escutcheon and a cheap-looking plastic button that acts as the switch. Because very little of the button sticks up above the countertop, some people may like the more "minimalist" look. I can understand that. However, I saw it as the perfect place for dirty water from your hand to collect, as it dripped down into the area where the button goes during its downward travel. Now, all of these companies drill a small hole for water to drain out, but where does the water go? Down into the space under the sink, I guess. That doesn't sound like a good idea either. I guess you could put a little "catch cup" or something else, on the floor under your sink, to catch the water as it flows down. Note in the first picture that the button sits on top of the countertop, and doesn't go below the surface of the countertop. That's the one I chose, for these 3 reasons:1) I wanted a button that didn't make it easy for water to go down into the place where the button traveled. This switch stands proudly and beautifully above the new countertop, looking almost like it came from the same product "family" as the new faucet and soap dispenser.2) I wanted one that was mostly made of brass, instead of chrome-painted plastic. This Sinkingdom model is almost solid brass. You can tell it's high-quality, heavy brass construction by looking at it. (Sinkindom does make cheaper, non-brass ones, too).3) I wanted a model that had 2 receptacles on the body, so I could plug the disposer into the "switched" receptacle, and the power cord for the touch faucet I installed into the "unswitched" receptacle. You can see that in the second photo. I haven't installed the A/C power module for the touch faucet yet, so there's nothing in the unswitched receptacle. But I used my fancy label maker to label which outlet was which. Most other companies, including Sinkingdom, make models that have a single outlet. (Again, to be fair, most people probably wouldn't need a second receptacle).I was dreading the installation process because I had just spent the previous 5 days fumbling around trying to do my own plumbing and electrical work. I figured setting this thing up would be a continuance of my nightmare. But the instructions and video that came with the unit were PERFECT. I had the whole thing mounted and working in under 60 minutes. At least 5 minutes of that time was spent going up and down to the "dungeon" to turn the breaker off, then on again. I also spent a good 5-10 minutes, after I was done, looking over the installation 3 times before I turned the power back on. I couldn't believe it had been that simple. I was convinced that, with the way my week had been going, if something was THAT easy to do, I had to have forgotten 1 or 2 important steps in the process. But it worked flawlessly. I was STOKED. I even dug up enough courage to install and programm 2 smart switches before calling it a day.So the TL/DR is: I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone who is considering whether they want to go thru the hassle of installing an air switch. It was well worth the investment of time and money.

There are a lot of options for garbage disposal buttons. I wanted one that looked great, but most importantly, that was easy to push. This button is fantastic! You don't have to try to push a button into a small opening, like most other options. You have a giant button that everyone can see and easily push.Installation was fairly easy if you have a drill, the correct diamond drill bit, and good instructions. I ordered a 1-1/4 inch diamond drill bit on Amazon and I watched a video on the internet to guide me through the installation. In 20 minutes, I was done. This is one of the most worthwhile kitchen upgrades we have ever done. For a small investment, this button adds convenience to our lives that we use dozens of times a day. So so worth it!

Compared to what is available in this price range, this is really an easy choice and the quality for the price FAR SURPASSES what you can acquire at the local Home Depot or Lowe’s. Installation 5 star for ease. Quality 5 star this thing is heavy and sturdy I mean sturdy. Aesthetics 5 star this thing is beautiful and matches incredibly. Easily Handicap accessible 5 stars! I am very happy with this purchase and product and would buy it all over again.
