Hat looks cool but doesnt fit. I have what I consider a normal size head. I own a lot of hats including many snap backs. this one fits one full finger too large on its standard "all holes" setting. if i downsize by 1 hole the tab sticks out and looks like a hat that doesnt fit.

My boyfriend is a waterfowl hunter and was struggling to find some Christmas gifts for him then I spotted this hat! I bought it for him and he wears this hat all the time! I can’t tell if he likes it because it matches his jacket of the same print, or because I bought it for him. It’s probably both! I’m leaning more towards the fact I bought it for him. I bought him another hat months ago and he is always wearing this one or the other one I bought him! I think he takes pride in wearing things I buy him because let’s just say I spoil him just a little bit and he’s told me I’m the best girlfriend so on and so forth!

First let me say I love the hat and the way that it’s setup for the most part. The adjustability is great and mesh allows for dissipation of heat.My gripe is a personal preference problem. I am a fan of more low profile hats as far as height goes. This is more of a high profile hat and sits very high up, if pulled down it just looks goofy. Yes I have tried wearing it several different ways on my head, no I do not have a small head, this hat style just is not my cup of tea. I ended up making it work, but it will never be my go to hat.

Couple things with this hat...first being that it IS large. Many of the reviews I read previous to buying the hat mentioned this, so I would like to echo those sentiments. I am 6’4” tall and typically wear 7 5/8 - 7 3/4” fitted hats. There are seven holes in the SnapBack and I have five to spare; usually, I am on the last or second last hole. It reminds me of when I was young and I would put my Dad’s hats on! Second, the mesh is quite coarse and not sure how it will wear. Last, the brim and fabric are wonderful...really soft and nice to touch. I like the Gore Optifade because I have other Sitka stuff in that pattern.
