These are very nice and do the job they're meant to. But when your cat becomes impatient with the slow eating, or inability to easily reach food, and they're smart...they will just go steal from another cat who doesn't need a slow feeder. But after some training the feeders did their job and are no longer necessary.

I got one of these bowls a year ago for my first cat because he started getting very territorial about his food all of a sudden and eating wayyy too fast and oh my goodness, this bowl definitely slowed him down.Then when we got another cat, I decided to get her one too because she was gulping her food down too quickly too!These bowls may not be the easiest to clean but they are a life saver for greedy/territorial cats. They are solid to hold and have a good weight to them to stop the cats moving them about when eating.Plastic bowls hold so much more bacteria so this bowl is a great option.P.S. to slow down the fast-eating cats even further, we put some lukewarm water in with their wet food! Slows them down + great way of getting them to drink more fluids!

Enfin une gamelle anti glouton en céramique !! Ne pouvant pas avoir de gamelles en plastiques c’était difficile d’en trouver en verre ou céramique de bonne taille pour chats. Elles ont perdu du poids et ne vomissent plus de croquettes depuis que j’ai cette gamelle. Le top du top !Je recommande a 100% !

After several tries to get a dish that will slow my cats down with the dry food, I have found one that works! They have free access to dry food. We have 8 cats, all rescues and all are eating from this dish. Several other dishes had to be sent back. My gobbler comes to see me to chat when the food gets very low but I have found he will still use it after he lets me know it's not his favorite idea for eating. There was a lot of regurgitating going on before we found this dish and it has all but stopped since we bought it. We ordered a second and feel that it is big enough for two and even three to eat at once if necessary. Two dishes are working for the eight cats (they get wet food at night each with their own dish.) We have the dishes on silicon mats and there is no problem with movement. I know they will likely shatter if dropped, being ceramic, but looks well made and I am please with the product. I think it is good that the cats can 't write there own review as I think they prefer bingeing and purging but they are all still purring and loving us.

I have a cat who gets acne if fed from plastic so was very excited to see a ceramic slow feeder bowl. This one is perfect. It holds enough kibble for my multicat household and looks very nice. Great quality, good value. Love it.

Solid ceramic construction and ability to clean in dishwasher top rack is a big plus. It has significantly reduced our two year old cat's previous near-daily scarf and barf routine. We've noticed that the larger head and tail cavities within the dish can pose a bit of an issue as there's not room for the kibble to push around like the other areas. We still use those cavities but definitely don't fill them to the brim. Overall, very happy with the dish and suspect we'll dial-in to zero scarf and barf episodes soon.

Unfortunately my cat hates this. She would rather starve than attempt to get her food out of this thing. I left it overnight for her and she only ate 20% of the food I gave her :( Fortunately she doesn't puke or anything but I was hoping this would stimulate and tire her out before bed. It didn't do either. The only annoying part is just cleaning it since it's shallow and it's easier to just put into the dishwasher.That said if your pet will use it, it's very well made, very sturdy and large enough for pets of various sizes. Unfortunately until it's absolutely necessary, we will just be keeping it in our closet.

K, I will say that this slow feeder served it's purpose during a season when our beloved cat, Gwennie, was going through a major scarf and barf stage. I was so sick of cleaning up vomit, and I'd used a ceramic egg carton for a while as a feeder, but invested in this to have a proper food dish for her. It worked, in that it forced her to eat slowly. However, the spaces are so narrow in the dish that it forces her to push her face into it to get the food out (she doesn't like using her paws to scoop it out), which resulted in her getting kitty acne, which was a painful experience for her. If you want to avoid kitty-acne, you'd probably need to clean the dish daily, which just adds a lot of work into feedings, which doesn't work great in our already busy lives. Also the bowl has 0 grip, so it'll slide around a lot if you don't add something to keep it in place. Honestly I'll probably just store this bowl and use it for when we get a dog someday. Fortunately with breaking her meals into smaller portions we seem to have overcome her scarf and barf stage. Fingers crossed that that lasts!

Bowl accomplishes main goal of slowing down my cat as she eats wet food. I think she finds it a stimulating challenge as well. It's deep enough for 5.5 oz of wet food with some added water. It's a bit heavy. Being ceramic, its durability will depend on not dropping it. Between meals I soak the bowl with a little soap and warm water, then it cleans easily with a sponge or brush. Well designed!!

Its exactly as advertised and was packaged neatly and safely. Came in without an issue and the bowl is the perfect size for what we needed. In the image I attached has 1/2 a cup of food. I love how large it is to allow for space while still maintaining a slow feed. I use to use the outward brand small slow feeder and the zip zags were so small. While it worked great for a while I thought it was time for an upgrade. So this is great, super cute, sleek, and a good weight that it won't move.
