I paid a little bit more for 100 single edge manila file folders by Smead. My last box came from Staples & are not holding up. They are less than 3 years old and are tearing. The new box by Smead are very heavy card stock. I use the single tab as there is more room to write the title. My husband used the single tab so I'm following in his footsteps. It makes for a cleaner looking file cabinet.

Have used this model folder with cross cut making the file name easily searched. Has a reinforced edge making it outlast any other folder. I use them for office documents and tax work; reusing them many times as well!

Cumplen con su objetivo, igual que otros folders. Tienen un sello por dentro y su diseño es diferente a los normales que venden en México en cualquier papelería, y en la parte redondeada de arriba tienen un orificio (como los folders que se cuelgan). Llegaron en el tiempo marcado, bien protegidos y tienen su propia caja (la cual venia despegada de un lado pero igual funciona, y ningún folder vino dañado.

I have always used the file folders that come in a pack with three varying tabs (left, center, and right), but always became frustrated when I would need to move files around and they were no longer perfectly ascending. Since I've found this product, I'll never go back--the larger tabs allow me to put more info (client name, date, etc.) and they always look perfectly organized in my filing cabinet and desk.

I have been using these file folders for years and recently reordered them to organize the files for our condo association.--The top strip of the back panel is reinforced well, all the way across the folder. This feature greatly reduces the paper cuts I get from filing; it also keeps the file folder looking fresh for a longer time.--I like the single top tab better than 3-cut or 5-cut folders. With the single top tab I can write longer file descriptions. The single top tab also makes it easier to see the file you are searching for. I do not overlook files as easily when I simply have to look to the left side of each folder. When I use 3-cut tabs, I find it easy to "lose" a file because I do not see it on the right side of the hanging files.Tip: I always store folders in hanging files, usually the plastic file containers with lids, so I can easily move them from room to room, or from archive area to working area, or from condo to cabin. Hanging files avoid files slipping to the bottom of your file container.

This is my second order; these folders are excellent quality and value. They are well made and I prefer the single tab to multi-tabs, which end up looking like a sloppy sea in one's filing cabinet. Thank you, Smead, for the excellent product.
