I bought this box of 2" expandable files to replace some 40 year old over stuffed expandable files. Opening the box, I was happy with their look and the SafeShield fasteners. After hours of slimming down my old files and putting the extra papers in new files, all seemed great. I had to take one of the new files out of the file drawer. The file fell apart!!! The cardboard backing came loose from the expansion strip. The adhesive holding the back to the expansion was not good. After that I checked every new file, replacing and/or using heavy duty tape on five files. Although all the files had less than 2" of paper, I slimmed the new files to 1" or less.

After using these files for 3 months, the faster breaks at the point of where it was previous bent to close the fastener. Fastener clip quality is poor, do not order for use of more than 10 times.
