Had no problem to install it on my rv. Took me a bit over one hour to install using my 5’ staging.

I ordered this 7 foot 6 inch awning based on reviews first and cost second, Lippert products have a good reputation as well. Received the package with no damage, packaging in very good as the product components are in a heavy cardboard tube with metal end caps. Product came with everything needed to complete the installation except butyl tape for water seal, picked that up at Amazon as well. Instructions are very good and easy to follow, but if you are like me and like to see it done there is a very good video on YouTube that show all stages of installation. I completed the installation in about an hour to hour and a half and I only needed my wife’s help when we fed the awning into the awning track during final installation.I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking to have an awning installed on your slide out. I was a little worried initially about not having a RV shop install this, but saved myself over $750.00 by doing it myself. Again, super easy to install and a great quality product.

I did the installation in less then 2 hrs .Fair instructions was supplied with the product. What help the most was to see on YouTube others doing installations. The only think i didn't like was the look of rode in the support bracket .One of them are sticking a couple inche past the bracket and the other one is flush.I guess It's just my OCD in me , but thinks could have been corrected if one rode would have been longer.Love the product , just the same.

Awesome easy to install yourself. Written instructions are clear and easy to follow. Youtube videos give a good overall impression. Took less than an hour to install because we were being careful. I suspect the next one will be 30 minutes or less. You need 2 people, and two ladders.Clean and then Spray your slideout top seal with a preservative/lubricant. ( it won't be easy to get at once the topper is on.Good solid construction and hardware.Great product.

This showed up to my front door missing an end cap. I started looking through it and there was a missing slide bar. Upon further inspection I noticed the rail was bent and damaged. Amazon suggested I notify the manufacturer and I did. They said after I emailed my pictures I would have a response within 24 hours. On the third day I called them and they admitted my email had not been opened ant to go ahead and sent it back. I started the return process and went to a ups drop-off with the package. I got it sent off a week ago and still have not received my refund. I wanted to turn around and buy another one but at $500 for this item, I kinda ha e to ride it out. Would not suggest buying from this company

As others mentioned & complained about, the Access Bracket Screw Cover were also missing from my slide out topper. Unlike many others I guess, I contacted Solera customer support on their Solaris web site. I had to only supply proof of Amazon purchase & the missing part number (2021012899) and Angela (excellent support) shipped me both missing pieces with no drama. I will purchase from them again.

I bought this to install over our bedroom slide. Although I installed it by myself, another ladder and person would have been helpful and not just to help guide the topper into place. I was up & down, up & down, move ladder here, move it there. That night, my legs were so tired, but I slept good. The only thing my expensive alpine had, that I could have used during the install was the gutter, which had the slot for the anchor side of the topper, but then it would of had hardly any pitch or angle to allow rain runoff. So, I left gutter alone and installed the long bracket thing 3 inches above gutter.Being by myself, I used the kitchen slide to hold the weight of the topper as I slid it into that long bracket thing.I highly recommend watching the Solara install video on you tube or etrailer for helpful tips.

Product was excellent and installation went fast and easy. The only improvement needed is better packaging and shipping. Packaging was damaged but luckily the awning was not. The awning retainer that is mounted onto the camper was the only thing bent in shipping. But we did not need it because our camper had one already installed. The cardboard tube that held awning and equipment was sealed on one end but not on other. The tube had a hole punched in it two different places. One looked to be a hand hold because the tube was 16 feet long and the second one looked just to be damaged by just throwing into truck.

After watching several YouTube videos, it became clear to us that our new 24 ft travel trailer would benefit from the addition of a topper for the slideout. We are a retired couple that relishes DIY projects, so installing the topper ourselves was never in doubt. We went back to YouTube University and watched how others had installed the topper on their rigs and did the same for ourselves. Advice would be to plan your project, take your time and double-check your work. The step-by-step instructions are clear with many pictures and the job is relatively simple for the mechanically inclined hobbyist or DIYer. The product is well made of quality components and appears to be of durable construction and we are well pleased with it.

All of the hardware was included. Make sure you watch the Lippert YouTube installation video. It's very helpful.I'm looking forward to not having to sweep my slide-out roof. And a reduction in leaks when it's raining hard on the coast. The quality of hardware is quite good. The instruction booklet leaves a little to be desired: it's fairly decent overall, but it shows the awning rail illustrated with the polycord channel on the bottom edge of the rail but the photos show the polycord channel installed at the top edge of the rail. The YouTube video shows the polycord channel installed at the top edge. That's what I followed. Worked great. I would buy again.

Bought this for my GEO Pro Travel Trailer slide. The first time I order this, it came in a box, was missing the hardware (brackets, rail and screws). I noticed that some reviews said it did not come with the awning rail. The second order, was very well packed in a single heavy round cardboard tube. When I unpacked it, I found it contained everything I needed for installation except the butyl tape, which I was not expecting anyway. After installation, the tension on the brackets when fully extended seemed a bit much, appeared the screws were going to pull out. I ended up backing the roller off 3 turns to release some of that. Looks good and works great.Bottom line....don't settle with NOT receiving all of the hardware with your order. Frustrating, but keep reordering until you get what you pay for.

The slide topper came with everything required for install, although I would recommend butyl tape to keep track in place and as waterproofing. I tested this in high winds, rain, and on highway (retracted). It was half the price of what the dealers wanted($500 + $250 install). There are many install vids on YT to help you out. It took me and a friend 2 hours to install. I ordered 3 toppers from this vendor and one of them was missing parts(from shipping) and the vendor remedied this quickly and courteously. I highly recommend this product and this vendor.
