This projection snoot was recommended to me by a well-known fashion photographer. I had previously looked at the brand names and could not justify spending more than double the money that this one costs. Study build. Beam focusing lens included. Bowen mount. Comes with an assortment of gobos and gels.

Mine was poorly assembled and wouldn’t hold the gobos. Ended up taking it completely apart and putting it back together. Works really well now. Very happy for the price.Uses 66mm gobos, same as wescott or godox! So lots to choose from.

I ordered this for a lighting workshop and it worked as advertised. The gobos and shutters work well and allow various forms of creativity. I wish some solid gels were included with this instead of various gels with "scenes" on them.Another note, this item does not fit the Godox AD600 as the bulb hits the rear lens; it will work on the Godox AD400 and AD200 (with Bowens adapter) fairly well. I'd add a good LED light for future use.

I was eagerly waiting for this but disappointed as soon as I open. First of all the color gels missing. There is no instructions and I could not figure out a way to use both gobo and the color image slides together. Not sure if it is even possible. The mount is not EF mount, I could not use any of my wide angle Canon EF lens to test. The magnifying glass need to be removed to use with Godox flashes. Going to return this. Guess I have to save money or look for Black Friday deals for West Scott or some expensive one :-((.

Just bought on of these n used it at a shoot. If you have a strobe with a bulb like an AD600 it will not fit inside. strobes like ad200, 300 are cool but only with a specific type of head. LED COB lights are fine though. The Color gels they include will burn immediately if you use constant lights so dont even think about it. used a red one and it was gone after 2 seconds. the gobos work well. the “lens brightening thing” they talk about is bs it sucks away alot of the light output from my forza 200. like alot. i was shooting around 1/80 f2 at iso 1250-2000. in a dark room too so if you have anything lower powered than that you will be having to adjust your iso tremendously. cutters work fine lens works fine. overall its cool for the money spent but there are cons most definitely.

I wasn't expecting much from this unit. The generic branding didn't inspire much confidence, but this unit performed very well. It produced a clean, bright, focused light without much effort. The size and weight are smaller than similar products. The EF mount makes it easy to swap out lenses to change the size of the projected light. The leaves allow for shaping the light, although I haven't used them. The cookie holder is simple and a little difficult to mount. I can imagine a better solution, but it wasn't terrible. Buying aftermarket cookies I realized that they aren't all the same size. Do some research beforehand. People have complained about heat, but for my use it wasn't too hot. It all depends on the type and quantity of light.
