I built a ES-335 copy - I didn't want to spend a fortune on Luthier tools I would use once. These tools worked well and I've played out with this guitar. However, I'll buy my next guitar pre-built - whew... a lot of elbow grease went into this project.

The rubber plastic mallet works fine and has a good feel The fret rocker is a must if you've never had one. I found out I had frets popping up. I tapped the high frets down with the mallet then used the crowning file to level any high spots. It worked well After polishing, frets were great. The fret protectors and string holders are handy. The rest was OK . Well worth the price !

This isn’t a professional grade kit, but if you want address fret issues on a guitar or two it should be fine. You get a lot of tools for the money.

Sonst alles ok. Halt billigwerkzeug.

The fret rocker has rough, unfinished surfaces and can scratch frets! I had to sand them smooth. Otherwise, it's worth the money.

These tools are good value for performing fret work on a budget. The levelling block works great (bonus getting extra sanding strips), the rubber ended hammer is good for tapping frets into place, fret rocker to check if frets are level is good. The fret crowning file works good and the include fret board protectors are a bonus as well. All in all, good for people on a budget that want to do their own fret work on a guitar. Happy with purchase.

This kit has everything to level and dress frets. The bar is straight and the file works too but only on narrow frets. Of course it's not the best luthier tools you can buy but for the price it's well worth it. That's why I gave it 5☆.

Got a cheap gears 4 music headless electric guitar that was notorious for bad set up,so I watched a couple of YouTube videos & ordered this kit, it has everything you need except a straight neck guide for truss rod adjustments,so ordered that separately, they arrived together so I set to work.Straightend the neck easy to reveal unleveled frets, so I used the rocker from this kit to find the high points then marked them with a sharpie and using the file provided leveled them off nicely, picked the guitar up for £30 second hand, got this kit & the fretboard leveler and now it plays like a much higher end guitar,or how it should of out the factory 😂In a nut shell-it's a great bit of kit used properly 👌

A great pack of tools for a DIY-er in the guitar modding. The fret crowning file is not very effective.

The mallet works as intended. It is non marring, and actually has a decent weight and balance to it. I checked that the fret rocker edges were true before use and was happy with the accuracy. The fret guards performed decently. They are a bit on the thin side and flex a bit more than I’d like. I’d also like them to be a bit longer so I’d be able to use a rubber band to hold them in place while filing. Having to hold it there gets in the way of the filing. Leveling file seemed true upon inspection, but must have flexed a bit during use resulting in some inconsistency with the leveling. Not anything to rage about but it did do decent. Crowning file leaves a lot to be desired. It’s very rough on the frets and left me needing a lot of polishing. It did however crown the frets so I can’t complain too much. I didn’t use the string stays since I worked on a new build that wasn’t strung up during the work. Overall it’s a decent kit for the price. It got the job done for a low cost. I just had to work a bit harder than I would with higher end tools. The only things I would add to complete the kit would be some fret erasers for polishing the frets. Maybe a nut file set. But that’s definitely something that is going to change the price on the kit. Ultimately, I’d say this is gonna be for your one and done type of guitar projects. If you plan on doing multiple guitars, I’d highly suggest higher quality tools if possible. These tools do function, but you’ve really got to dig in and work for it.
