I used this on my 100 amp 1 wire alternator on my 73 Dodge D100. The original alternator had been converted years ago and wasn't working very well. The 1 wire alternator I purchased suggested to use 4ga wire to the battery and from the body of the alternator to the frame. It worked out excellent. It's flexible and seems durable. It hasn't melted or chafed. Charges like never before very pleased .

Super flexible, yet durable. I used it to run power from the battery to a fuse block in the rear of my vehicle. It wasn’t so massive that I caused problems fit lying along existing rocker panel wiring. At the same time, it was stiff enough to shove through a pre cut fire wall grommet and several pillar trim piece areas I opted not to move. The result was NO voltage drop at the rear of the vehicle. I put an 80amp resettable breaker near the battery and ran several high capacity circuits from a relay controlled the fuse block. Make sure you have appropriate cutters/crimpers.

Very close to true 4 AWG but for the price I have no complaints. Very flexible, strips easily but still durable, and works great. I have it powering a 400w Kenwood monoblock amp in my 15 F150 and it works perfectly. I'd definitely recommend it and will buy it again if I do an install on a friend's car

May not be true 4 gauge but it was perfect for what I used it for, to put an auxiliary fuse box in my truck for lights and such. Bought a fuse holder from Walmart and haven't had an issue yet. Would buy again for an amplifier installation!

Seems OK, flexible, the outer jacket/plastic coat is really thick but soft. This is not pure copper.. This is CCA copper clad aluminum which is why it's extremely light. For 4 guage this is OK but if you need to run 2 or 0 guage u might wanna stick to pure copper and If I had to run this through my firewall I think I'd have to reinforce this wire somehow. But for normal use like distribution block to amplifier this should be OK.Update: I compared this to other 4guage audio wire I've purchased previously and it seems that this is slightly smaller. In the picture, the black one on the left is true 4guage and the red and black on the right is the 4 guage I purchasesd from here. It's good wire but there's a slight difference and I'm just trying to give u an idea and what you're receiving if u purchase this.
