I use an old recurve string to bend the limbs when fitting this new string. Throw an old blanket over it when releasing.Stopped using the commercial steel wire as found its a good way to lose fingers.

Tip shattered while restringing. Glad I didn't shoot with it, would have been dangerous.

Tried this string on my Wildgame XR250B. The eyes and the center point weren't wound well at all and unwound almost immediately leaving me with a useless string. However, this is a $10 crossbow string so I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I will do my research and find a better quality string for sure.
