This Bamboo Couch Cup Holder really gets the job done for something that seems so simple. I used it on my fabric sofa.THE GOOD-The actual cup holder holds a variety of sizes.-The rubberized felt backing holds everything it in place despite the extra weight. I had a 40oz tumbler full of ice water and it didn't tip over no matter how many times I bumped it, brushed against it, or plopped down on the couch with force.-The larger section held my large smartphone easily or two slim remotes (about the size of an Amazon Fire TV remote) side-by-side.-The Bamboo material is like a polished wood. At first, running my fingers across I was afraid of getting splinters, but the wood is well-crafted and there are no loose strands or sharp ends.-Despite having slats, they are made in a way that doesn't allow your fingers to get pinched no matter what.THE NOT SO GOOD-For a one-size-fits-all, the holder has to be large enough to fit on every sofa arm. My sofa arm is about medium in width so the holder doesn't wrap snugly around it. Instead, the excess hangs down and a bit outward. This appears to just be a cosmetic issue.-I held a take-out paper-like drink in the holder for about an hour until it started to sweat. After removing the watered-down drink I discovered the liquid had left a lightened ring (see photo) where the cup had sat. Over time I'm sure it will only get worse since this appears to be real wood with no water protection.Overall I would recommend this cup holder if you just need something simple to get your drink off the floor or closer to you. However, it is not meant for any containers that leak or sweat. Any kind of moisture will ruin the wood.

Not a terrible product, yet mine was delivered with surface scratches and the bamboo slats are not completely aligned on the ends. I'm not sure how, but the slats seem to be too tightly paralleled, if setting the product on a flat surface it doesn't lay completely flat unless forced to bend the opposite of the intended direction of bend. It'll work but feels like a second hand being scratched and a little out of shape.
