After years of truing and replacing spokes and nipples, I finally purchased this tool. Wish I had it years ago.

I had this odd Klumping sound coming from rear wheel on my bike. Went to inspect parts and found a few loosely tensioned spokes. Best option instead of paying someone $50 was to do it myself. Not sure it’s accurate, but I tensioned every spoke and noise went away. Would definite recommend this tool.

Well it’s consistent in getting all the spokes the same tension. As far as matching a number on the chart? Down side it doesn’t fit a 27.6 inch rear E-bike wheel without some modifications, probably not recommended by the manufacturer.

This spoke tensioner does what it’s supposed to do. Can’t ask anymore. Bonus was two types of spoke adjustment tools.

I will say this to start the item did work to a extent but it has 1 flaw that threw off all my measurements for my tire that I gave up and took it in to get fixed. The issue that I am talking about was on the arm near the bottom spring the arm is attached right there with (1 long rivet) this allow the spring to push and twist the arm into the main body of the meter which allows it to rub there at the bottom of the arm near the spring ([1]), to the point that it was sticking at times and the paint has been removed by the rubbing. This allow for extra friction and when you are trying to get close to exact measurements for each spoke, this issue changed how much the friction changes by rubbing and pressure or by how you are holding the meter this will throw off your measurements. In testing depending on my holding and the angle I was using the tool for 1 spoke my tension was changing by 2-5 marks which is a lot. Maybe if they just had 2 attachment point between the arm and the body and spring that would keep the spring from forcing the arm into the body of the meter or at least having a plastic tape or felt in that spot so there isnt any friction gained by 2 metals rubbing into each other with pressure. P.S.; I will also say that I bought this device thinking I would get the black on as shown in the photo but I was given a orange one with a completely different name and brand on it. they offer to sell the orange on for more in the store as of 8/24/23 and it's the one I got with the west name of it but was not black and from my cart I can see I did order the black.([1])→ (Bottom left side of the device in photo above the left of the 2 circles made for resting the spoke so the center moving metal circle can push into the spoke at it rest of the 2 side spots)

Much more accurate than squeeze/pinch trueing.

It keeps the guess work out of knowing what your spoke tension should be. I trued my wheels after lacing them using this tool. For the price I’m happy with it and use it every month
