I bought this to use in our maple syrup evaporator. BEST. ONE YET. The size of the mesh works perfectly to skim out debris, the handle was a good length to keep our hands out of the heat.

This is a good quality kitchen utensil for skimming the oil in deep fat friers or chip pans to remove the burnt bits. It seems pretty well made from stainless steel and has a reassuring weight to it and the scoop end is quite rigid and made from thick woven wire. It could also be used for draining small vegetables like peas or corn but perhaps a collender may be a better choice. At the current price of £15.99 it seems a little pricey for a kitchen utensil which may only be used occasionally, but if you own a chip shop or chicken shack, it is a good quality utensil that should last for quite a number of years if not a lifetime.

Got this to sift the crud out of my fryer, particularly after cooking par boiled spuds!. Works great, perfect width for my fryer and cleans well.

This strainer is good for using in a chip pan or a deep fat fryer.The handle is nice and long and it feels safe to use.The current price is £15.99. I think that's too pricey for what it is. I think it should be half the price. 🫣Apart from the price, I'm happy with it. 😊
