As everything has an indefinite shelf (for all practical purposes) no reason to not have this on hand, especially at this price.Note this flux is alcohol based and VERY low viscosity. It flows very quickly from the pen and unlike flux paste it will run where gravity directs it. Probably not a problem in most cases, just something to be aware of if you've only used paste type fluxes.

I run this stuff in little needle-tipped squeeze bottles and so far it's my favorite flux for PCB work in radios.When they say no-clean, they mean it isn't corrosive like other fluxes but it still leaves a tacky and visible film behind. Once I'm done soldering on a PCB, I clean the area with 99% alcohol and an ESD-safe brush so it looks good.

It says 5 refills which i am assuming means you get five refills from the one bottle. I made the mistake of thinking it ment 5 bottles of refill considering the price. So beaware and I suggest just buying the pen and the refills seperatly because it's alot cheaper.

Nice stuff. The pen is really handy. I have yet to refill the pen after the initial fill, it goes a long way. I have used it right out of the bottle to flux a large nest of wires I needed to solder together, it worked great. The felt tip also holds up great, unless you are using it on sandpaper it should last a long time. Good value. Buy some.

I've never used a flux pen or no clean flux so I don't have anything to compare this to but it does seem to work well. I tried to apply a blob of solder to an oxidized trace on a homemade PCB and it would not wet the track. I dabbed the track with the pen and the solder wicked on to the track immediately. If some other brand or type would perform better, I don't know and don't care. This works fine. I don't know what it's long term affects on the PCB and tracks will be but if it's negative, I'll update my review.Regarding the nib getting damaged before the refills have been used. My pen came with a spare nib. Problem solved.

Very good buy for working with electronics. Refilling the pen is a snap, just follow the instructions included. Will buy this item again.
