I replaced my shot old school XTR brake calipers with top of the line SRAM since Shimano quit making race brakes where the cylinder attaches to the bar at the end. I run a 3x drive train and am not about to trash it just because Shimano eol'd my brakes. I decided to go full SRAM on the brakes including the rotor SRAM recommended. Installation was a perfect replacement for my Shimano Centerlock. Although not damaged in shipping, one of the two rotors I installed was slightly warped and even after tweaking with a brake disk tool I still have some slight warp which I can hear as the pad bumps, but not enough to warrant returning it or fool with further. I ride a very light bike and my main observation is that this rotors are thicker and heavier than Shimano's ice tech style rotors which adds unwanted weight and rotational mass to my bike that doesn't need to be there. When these wear down I will consider putting my old Shimano rotors back on and try bedding them in and if it rides ok I'll go back to Shimano rotors primarily for the reduction in weight with perhaps better heat dissipation from the cooling fins. If your main concern is disk longevity or you don't want to pay Shimano prices, this has been serviceable.
