This does not work with aluminum caps. Smaller than 2 1/2 inch its more like 2 7/16

This is a socket produced specifically for use on a Dexter 9/10k screw on oil bath clear hub. The clear hub is basically a 2 1/2 nut. Just so happens that the Dexter fortress 5-8k hub is also a 2.5 nut. I recieved the package today. And I believe the socket to be 2 15/32 because my 2 1/2 Snapon socket fits about as tight at OJ’s glove. I didn’t attempt to measure in anyway but since my other socket has only been used on the plastic nut and bearing tensioner. Some of my other sockets would not just be given the benefit of accuracy that I extended to the 2.5. I am assuming that they will contact me and it will be corrected. 2 nd issue I believe it would be more advantageous to produce this with a 3/8 ratchet in mind. Considering that the torque is suggested 20-30lbs. My 1/2 drive measures 50-250lb while my 3/8 is 5-75lb. I believe my equipment to be consistent with most brand but it is possible I am incorrect and need an upgrade. I’ll be checking into that. The piece is well made there are no unnessisary levels in the machine work. I may have just lucked out and hit one barley outside of tolerance or there the plastic cap it is intended for offers some give that the aluminum cap does not. Just the same 2.5” is 2.5” and this isn’t.
