All I can say is WOW! This stainless blackstone replacement top went above and beyond my expectations for the price. It fit perfectly with no modifications. All I had to do was drop it on, level it, clean it, then give it a proper seasoning with grapeseed oil. After a few rounds of seasoning, this top has the perfect cook surface. Heating was nice and even, as the picture shows, with no warping. This is how Blackstone should have made this grill, rust proof, and grease trough at the back to manage drippings properly. What an amazing upgrade!

I would have given it 5 stars but the mounting holes were way off. It wasn’t a big deal to set it in the proper place and drill new holes. The description did say it was for my 36 inch 4 burner model. I read so many reviews saying the holes didn’t line up. I personally like the stainless top instead of the cast iron that needs to constantly be cleaned, scrapped, and oiled.

Legs were completely the wrong places and the cover would not fit. The only way I could’ve made it fit was to cut the back legs off and have someone re-weld them on and still would have had to modify it somehow fit. Other than repackaging at Amazon made the return easier.

Heavy guage stainless. Cook surface is well machined. Levelers are use where the four posts set in frame. My cooked veggies and rice don’t pick up any black from the cook surface, unlike the original surface.

So I bought the 36 inch stainless steel replacement cooktop for my Blackstone. My Blackstone has the lid on it. It’s full-size for burner. Some reviews said this stainless steel cooktop fit. Other said it didn’t. I bought it anyway. I had to modify my Blackstone in order for it to fit. Also, the connector pins that come with this cooktop are useless in your Blackstone so you’ll have to modify that I’ve attached two pictures of the modifications necessary for this to fit your full size 36 inch black Stone. The stainless steel cooktop as well built. Looks like the bottom is very similar to the Blackstone‘s original cast-iron griddle. But the heat distribution on the stainless steel is awful. It is only towards the center of the griddle once you get towards the back towards the front and towards the sides, you have little to no heat so it’s very inconsistent. I’m not worried about whether cause you’ll never get it really clean clean, but I was so excited to get this so I could do hibachi and instead I was extremely disappointed and the heat dispersion and also the fact I had to modify my existing grill to make this work. Why can’t you guys just measure the black top cast-iron cooktop and build yours exactly the same size with the same feet? I don’t understand where that can’t be completed properly. Anyhow, a big drillbit and a little bit of ingenuity and you can make it work. Now the picture that I sent is the old original cooktop installed. I use this picture because I want you to see where the new holes had to be made because the feet are not spaced for enough apart on the stainless steel. they are too close together by at least 5 inches. after another failed attempt to simply make eggs and bacon I took it off this morning and I put my original cooktop back on. Now I’m stuck with this stainless steel cooktop because I doubt I could send it back although I did get it through Amazon and they’ll take anything back so we’ll see how it goes

Purchase this product, got the old top off and go to put this new top on and the pins aren’t in the correct space so now I’ve got to go out get a carbide drill bit, drill 4 new holes so that it’ll fit properly. This company should make two versions of this to fit all kinds of 36 inch grills now it’s just becoming a pain in the ass but I want to go with the stainless steel top so…….😤

Perfect fit and very heavy duty! Easy to clean up after using and no worries about rusting if you don’t use it for a while.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I was kind of blown away by this. I had been searching for a direct replacement for 6 months or more and could only find one online listing, but they didn’t make it for the 36” griddle, and their biggest one they made was over $300. So, who knows what they would have charged for the 36”. I finally ran across this and figured I would try it. Only one review, no pics and just star rated. Well, if you are looking for stainless steel top, you would be hard pressed to find a better one. The adjustable feet were a big plus. Most concrete patios are sloped. So, I was able to fine tune it. I did use two pieces of my sons legos on one side, under the wheels, because the slope was too much and would have caused a significant difference in the gap from the flame from the left side to the right side. The legos made it to where the adjustments were minor. The lid fit perfectly and the wind guards fit better IMO. The V channels on the bottom seem to be an upgrade but I’m no scientist or physicist. So, I don’t know if it causes a better heat dissipation, but hey it looks better lol. I haven’t cooked on it yet, so that’s still to be determined. I’ll try to update once I do. I put a bunch of pics. First couple pics are of my original top and how it rusted. I took really good care of it and kept it covered and it still rusted. I also, got a grill rescue brush and when I would use it to clean while the griddle was hot, the seasoned layer would peel off. This should not happen with the SS top.
