I used this in a 17 yr old Hustler Fastrak 42" deck. The local parts dealers wanted $30 for it and the Hustler dealers wanted $54. The only difference between the original I took off and the new one was the center bearing was slightly thinner in total thickness. The original assembly has three flat washers and you adjust the washers to make these Idlers set perfect with the drive belt. Instead of one washer on top and two on bottom. I put two on top and one on bottom and everything aligned perfectly. The actual owner manual describes this adjustment and different serial numbers and the change from Kohler to Kawasaki motors have different bearings. It was cool of Hustler to note and describe this so you wouldnt be worried about the washers being different. With a little luck this idler will last 17 yrs. With better luck, I will last 17 more years also! *assembly note. Owners manual recommends 65ft/lbs of torque on the mounting bolt. I had to use a 18" breaker bar and 3ft cheater pipe to get the bolt loose (I used a impact set on max at 90ft/lbs and didnt budge it. It is a zinc coated bolt with zero corrosion. I thought I would warn you about this before you get on the cement to break it loose! I used a torque wrench set at 65ft/lbs when I installed the new part. Another note* bolt head size is 15/16" or 17mm metric.

Item was a perfect fit; no issues. After a couple of weeks they work fine. The price was not the cheapest, but was reasonable. I purchased a pair. I recommend this product.
