These things turned black on the first drilling and just kinda burnt up on 1/4 inch sheet metal..not impressed..didn't even complete the drilling with this either had to go another route..pretty bad in my opinion just seem cheap

I usually carry an impact driver with me, so having a step bit set that fits the driver means I don't have to lug around my drill motor case also. I've only used it once so far to drill through the top of a metal stud, but it worked well for that.

Bought these to expand holes in tubular steel. It is 1/4" thick so heavy so I predrilled a large hole and then used the step bits to take it up another width. After four holes they are toast. I used one with lubrication and slower speeds and one with a different lubrication and slightly faster with the same effect.Do not waste your money.

I’ve seen these type of bits forever and finally bought this set for installing a peephole in out front door. It’s just about as easy as it gets. Stick in in the impact driver, double check your desired hole size and start drilling. It cut through the steel of the door easily and I even used it to cut a hole in our brass door knocker. After I finished, the bit didn’t show any signs of damage. The carrying case is a nice feature since it keeps everything in one spot.

So far, I'm very pleased with this purchase. I've only used them a few times but they are sharp and really cut fast. I bought this set for the large bit. The large ones can be quite expensive. Considering the price, I was careful to keep my expectations low. Expectations have been far exceeded and am pleased. We'll see how well they hold up over time.

Definitely like the price. You have to use a centerline punch or screw to get a pinpoint accurate hole. Bits walk a little, but for the price it’s worth it.

For the price, these can't be beat. I'm sure they're are more durable, sharper, Measured each step within .05mm which was good enough for my use... And they spin true. Hot dog!Comes with a little cheap nylon pouch so you can throw it in your belt or bag.
