I feel like this would be fine for an adult or older kids to take bath, but my toddler kicks this thing out multiple times each time she takes a bath. It literally just sits there on the drain, so it doesn’t take any effort to knock it out.

Bought these stoppers hoping they would fit our bathroom sink and could replace all the older white stoppers we have accumulated. Bottom-line, they not only did not work on the sink I got them for, but they do not work on any bath tub or sink drain we have in the house. It seems like the rubber (or whatever it is made from) is not pliable enough to create a good seal.

Perfect replacement stopper for the garden tub in my daughter’s rental. Hers was missing and this was a perfect replacement since it didn’t require knowing the exact size. Sealed great and she is now enjoying the big tub!

I bought these for my motorhome and they work great. They fit tightly and don't leak. The little piece sticking up on top make them easier to insert and remove into the sink drain. They were too small for me to use in the house but the perfect size for my motorhome. I would highly recommend this product. Please let me know if this review is helpful to you. My kids kept breaking the thin cheap white tub stoppers. I decided to give these a try, and they work as they should on my tub which was made in the 1980s. I did measure the drain opening and depth before ordering-I suggest you do the same.

Purchased these as I had no idea what size our bath plug would be. Because of the drain stopper, the product was too tall to fit but easy enough to cut. Tight seal, really is universal fit and now I have a spare.

I am sold on Shroom products as they have been a savior in my new (but old) house which was built in 1966 and none of the sink or tub fixtures have any original stoppers. I came across this new Shroom product and gave it a shot. It does not create a seal that will keep water in your sink for an extended period of time. It is almost like it is too wide so only just the first (most narrow circumference) ring fits in my bathroom sinks or tub. I tested them in the various sinks and tubs by inserting them, filling the vessel with water, and then set a timer. After 30 minutes four of my five vessels were empty - all water had drained - with the exception of one, the tub. The bathroom sinks' opening is more narrow than the stopper. One thing I thought about trying but I just realized as I type this that I have yet to do it is an experiment by placing a little Vaseline or other water phobic lubricant that may help with creating a seal or would ease the stopper deeper into the drainpipe. Once I try that, I will report accordingly.If the application of a lubricant works, I will update this review so if you are reading this in 2021, I did the experiment and there was no change and my original review stands as written. I will try to do another test with the lubricant before the end of October, 2020 because these would make great stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, holiday party gifts.Hope this was helpful.REVIEW UPDATE - October 27, 2020: I did try applying a hydrophobic lubricant to see if that would help either with inserting the stopper deeper into my sink drains (bath, not kitchen) and/or create a seal in which the water would not pass. I did the same experiment as I previously tried - after applying a thin layer of Vaseline I inserted the stopper, filled the sink with water, set a timer for 30 minutes and then checked the water level. In the sink that was practically bone dry in my first experiment (without Vaseline) there was still some water in it, but approximately 70%-80% of the water still went down the drain. The StopShroom is just too wide to be effective in a bathroom sink. I then tried it in the tub - I immediately noticed that because the tub drain has a larger circumference than the sink drains the stopper went much further into the drain but after 30 minutes nearly all the water was still going down the drain. There must be some sort of design flaw so unfortunately I am returning this product and the search for drain stoppers will continue.
