Super easy to install. Pretty sturdy and the screws that came with the rack were really good. Would buy again.

I will admit that I was a little nervous about purchasing this unit after reading some of the reviews that talked about quality issues, particularly with the sliding the hangers that go onto the bar. I opened the package and made sure everything was there and did a dry assembly run to ensure that there were not going to be any assembly issues. The new version uses a 3-sided hanger system that easily goes over the bar and they are held in place with a locking pins. There are five (5) hangers that came with the unit, but I only installed four (4), which is all I needed. Unless there are kids bikes involved, hanging 5 bikes would be tight on a 46" bar. I hung two road and two hybrid bikes and the wheels went in easily. However, I would imagine that with fatter tires there may be some issues getting the hooks through the wheels. The only other minor issue is unless you push the two outside hooks in three or so holes from the end, the bar will slide sideways in the brackets. Since I wanted maximum spacing between bikes, I extended the outside hangers as far as they would go and put two bolts with washers through to hold the bar in place. Easy fix. Also, since I mounted this on a finished wall in my garage, I added a small strip of 1/8 plywood to keep the tire marks off of the drywall.

Works well as advertised. Currently using for two mountain bikes with helmets hanging on the free hooks where 3 more bikes could fit. Very pleased with the quality of the product and easy assembly to affix to garage wall.

I've been fighting garage clutter for years, and bikes have been a big challenge to addressing it. Now they are all up on the wall and taking the least space possible. Very, very happy with this product. I have a lot of experience hanging things, and this mounting was simple but without giving up structural integrity. Glad to know it's securely mounted in my studs for years of use.

This is an excellent way to store multiple bikes in small spaces. It's incredibly sturdy as long as you make sure to mount to studs. The adjustable nature of the rack is perfect to install on the wall and manage bike placement. It offers wiggle room during installation I'm case your two mount points are slightly off, you can still insert the crossbar without needing to redrill. As with every bike rack on the market, size up. If you have 4 bikes to store, buy a 5 bike rack, etc. This will definitely not hold 5 bikes of different sizes. But it holds 2 adult and 2 kids bikes perfectly. I suggest protecting your walls from bike tires unless you don't mind messing up the wall paint where the tires sit.The hooks are great, just be sure when you place the wheel on the hook that there is nothing resting on a spike or you'll damage your spokes.

This was installed easily and works pretty good. My only complaint is the hooks could be a little wider. My husbands mountain bike tires barely fit. If he had the big tires it wouldn’t work. But it fits our 4 bikes just fine and works well. Sturdy.

Great product, would recommend, currently using it with 5 Adult bikes. Frees up space in the basement. Had it for over a year without any problems. Would recommend and would purchase again.

Super bike rack, used in tight garden shed and now holds 4 children's bike plus a scooter. Would say comfortably holds 3-4 adult bikes max. Have recommended to other families.

A little more width would have helped significantly. I would have given 5 stars for a 60 inch width instead of 46 inch. The unit is very sturdy and the price for what you get is fair - no other racks will hold FIVE bikes for this amount. The width is perfect if all you have are road bikes with narrow (drop) bars. Every other bike should be hung with the bars up or down so the bars do not interfere with each other. However, I have several mountain and touring bikes with very wide bars, which definitely interfere with each other, even when mounted every other bar facing the same way up or down. If the main rack bar had been 60" wide instead of 46" then hanging (and especially retrieving) mountain bikes would have been a lot easier because there would be extra distance between hooks and I wouldn't have to disentangle the bike I want to retrieve from a nest of handlebars from adjacent hanging bikes. That being said, the quality and strength is excellent. I bought two units for my ten bikes. The adjustable hooks are a great feature and I gave my favorite bikes a bit more room to make retrieving them easier. The hooks fit all my bikes from a 20" wheel folder, to a mid-fat 27.5 mtb wheel.I mounted this rack to a concrete block wall with 1/4 " x 1-1/4 " TAPCON concrete screws. You will need a hammer drill and a 3/16" masonry bit to drill the holes 1-3/4" deep. Make sure to blow out the dust from each hole before screwing in the anchors with a 5/16" socket. Before buying, I had to contact Store Your Board a couple of times to find out their lag screw diameter and if it were possible to mount the rack to a block wall. The SYB company ought to publish this information - they'd sell more product if they did.Of the two units I bought, one was perfect; in the other one the main rack bar was too tight a fit into the square holes in the brackets and I had to lightly file those holes because the black coating made the fit way too tight to slide in the main bar.Another piece of information missing from the SYB instructions was how high on the wall the rack should go. This is a non-intuitive measurement because the hooks engage the wheel near the axle, but the bike comes to rest hanging somewhere above the axle, but it is not clear exactly where. The bike will drop down somewhat when the wheel is hooked. Frustratingly, I had to remount my whole rack because I did not allow enough "sag" to keep my longer bikes up off the floor despite repeated measuring and estimating the sag. Here's what I learned the hard way! To find the minimum height to put the rack bar, place your longest bike perpendicular to a wall so the front wheel is touching. Mark the floor three or four inches past the longest part of the bike's rear as viewed from the top toward the floor. The height of the rack above the floor (measured from the hook center, which is also the center of the main rack bar) should be a MINIMUM of 92% of this length. My measurements were: longest bike allowing for room at the rear - 75 inches. Height of center of rack bar hooks above floor - 69 inches. This put my longest bike about three inches off the floor, and my shorter road bikes higher off the floor than that. If you want your bikes to have more room underneath, the raise the rack bar height accordingly. I'd give the Easy To Install five stars if SYB had included how to find the height above the floor which I had to learn the hard way by trial and error.Overall, if you have lots of bikes, this rack is the most bang for the buck. If only SYB offered a longer 60 inch rack bar, it would be perfect for mountain bikes as well as your road bikes.

This rack was very easy to install and adjust. It's a tight fit, but I was able to hang 5 adult-sized bikes on it by alternating the orientation of each neighboring bike. Like several have commented, I do wish it had been just a tad longer so things weren't so cramped. But if you're not filling all 5 hooks, you should be fine.I installed mine 76 inches off the floor to allow a little clearance underneath for sweeping, storing shoes, etc. My garage is newly finished, so I didn't want the tires of the bike marring the freshly painted walls. That's one drawback of this design -- both tires rest on the wall surface. But that problem was easily resolved by installing two painted trim boards where the tires would otherwise meet the wall. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the minimalist yet sturdy design.
