Found that the driver’s side gusset was already ripping at the top after a little over a year. No issues with the passenger side. Pretty shocked that an OEM part was failing so quickly. Perhaps it was old stock they had been sitting on? To clarify, I never shut the door by the glass.I reached out to the seller and voiced my concern. They didn’t want to provide any help, which was rather disappointing. Save yourself the headache and DONT buy OEM parts off Amazon. Find a reputable online dealer to purchase from.

Bought the set to stop the wind noise most Subarus get over time, came in and could tell one of them was banged up in either the packaging or shipping. Gasket was all warped and extremely stiff. The passenger side was perfect and gave me no issues and completely removed any wind noise. The driver side still has wind noise the gasket pinches the glass and makes it hard to roll up the window and will need to replace it due to how bad it was when it was delivered. So tight it ripped off the tint on my window from pinching it so hard. (MAYBE it was a window gusset from another year or model thats similar but just different enough to not work)

I had been plagued by wind noise on my 2007 Subaru for years. I finally got fed up and tried to research what was causing it. I had replaced the window gasket on the driver's side and rear door- all one piece, and that cost about $150 parts & labor, but did not resolve the issue. After viewing MANY videos on YouTube, I finally learned that the window gussets were the problem. I was able to replace them myself, after watching several videos about it, and saved the body shop labor fees. It was not rocket science--it just took some patience and some good tools.

After watching 2 or 3 YouTube videos of this install, it seems pretty easy and straight forward. I was skeptical buying this part for my car off Amazon because I wasn't sure it was going to fit. But it fits perfectly and the wind noise is finally gone! Phew!

Research told me that the wind noise I was hearing around the side view mirrors of my Forester was caused by the top 1/2" of the rubber seal being torn...and it was true! I first put some tape over the tear and the noise was cut by 90%. Figuring this was not a permanent solution, I replaced both gussets and the noise disappeared! The new parts have been in place for a year and are holding strong. With luck I'll get another 12 years out of this new set.Installation did require removal of the inner door trim panel, so be careful when removing it. There are plastic clips that hold the perimeter of the panel to the door frame and you don't want to break them when popping panel off.

Put these on an 04 Subaru Forester XT. These got rid of the wind noise at 30+ mph. Much quieter than before. Now I can hear the tire noise.

Installation wasn't that hard. Lots of videos online. It took me and a friend an hour and a half to do it. It definitely fixed the sealing issue. Before it sounded like an airplane in my car and I had to almost yell at my passenger. Now it is much better

Easy to install and they fixed the road noise in my 2003 forester. Very happy I purchased these and did not do an after market fix.
