This is a good solid scraper/brush. I suspect it will last forever. The only issue you might have is that it is not for tiny vehicles. Hardly an issue in my case.

I've lived in the north most of my life and have used quite a few ice scrapers. This is the first brand that actually gets through the sheet of ice under the snow. It's the second one we've bought. My husband bought me one for my Jeep - I ordered him one for his truck. The ergonomic handle is great for leverage. Buy it - you won't be disappointed!!

Good size, good brush and I'm really happy with the performance of the scraper, it removes the frost and ice cleanly.

Bought one of these years ago in the northeast when I lived there. I slipped and finally broke the blade off of the one I had, immediately searched for a replacement and am glad they are still made. By far the best snow brush I've had so far - very sturdy with a decent reach. The handle is very comfortable and doesn't make my hand cramp up. The ice chippers on the corners of the blade are great for scoring lines in iced-over windows and wind shield, and even the rubber grip handle end is good for whacking air pockets to break up sheets of ice off the roof and sides. If/when the brush gets full of snow, I just knock the back of the brush on the bottom of my boot and it shakes out easily. I don't care where I live or what season it is, this thing is always in my trunk! The new ones I received have the brand name "Hoppy" on them instead of "Subzero" like my old one. I'm guessing the name is a callback to the Hopkins manufacturer, the patent number is the same. Everything else about the new ones looks identical and has the same weight/balance in my hands.

Feels decent in the hand, seems sturdily built, scrapes solid ice quickly and well. The brush doesn’t clump up, it shakes the snow off itself just fine. It’s nothing miraculous, and it won’t be adequate to reach the roof of a truck or suv, but that should be obvious given the length. Worth the money. And no, you don’t get to pick your color, but it cracks me up that some people care about this. For the record, mine is red.

Seems like it should be durable other than the fact that mine was a defect. The ice scraper was not attached properly on mine. I could question their quality control, but based on the other reviews here I seem to have just been unlucky. These things happen and the important thing is that amazon took it back without hassle. Assuming you are like everyone else here and you got a good one, I see no reason that this wouldn't function perfectly as it seemed very solid otherwise, so I still give 3 stars.

This product creates an intimidation factor that is unrivaled from any other Snowbrush. After two uses, the snow and ice now begins to melt on its own merely at the SIGHT of this Snowbrush. The first time I picked it up I felt a surge of power and radiant energy course through my body, little did I know what was about to transpire. After the first substantial snow, my Jeep was buried underneath unfathomable depths of snow and encased in what can only be described as a vault of ice. As I approached the vehicle, the snow in front of me inexplicably began to melt, creating a bone-dry path of concrete to my car. Once I lifted the brush into the air, there was a blinding flash of light and I heard thousands of tiny screams from each flake of snow piled on my car. With one fell swoop with the brush, all of the snow had vanished off of my car. The brush performed very well and kept my hand bone dry and toasty. As I stared at my vehicle behind what would have been its icy coffin, it was time to use the ice scraper. I walked over to the front passenger side and placed the scraper on the windshield. Before I started to scrape, I was curious as to how deep the sheet of ice truly was. I positioned the scraper on the windshield and fell my fist to the brush to chip away the ice. Immediately after I gave the blow, I saw a crack appear in the ice that spread throughout the entire vehicle. In awe, I stepped back and all of the ice exploded off of my Jeep in every direction, leaving it in the same condition it was prior to the snow ever taking place.I unlocked the door, sat in the driver seat, neatly tucked away the Snowbrush underneath my seat and went on my way. Ever since then, snow and ice seems to avoid accumulating on my Jeep.FIVE STARS.

Unlike some reviewers, I read the full description including the part that says "Colors may vary", so no bad marks from me for getting 2 red scrapers instead of blue scrapers like the ones shown in the picture. For less than 14 bucks I purchased two of these, one for each car. After reading some reviews on here and being tired of buying new scrapers every year I took a chance on these. I was surprised at how hefty they feel in your hand. Nice rubber grip on the end and a non slip section in the middle for your other hand. The bend in the middle is nice for bearing down on the window to get those tough spots without raking your knuckles across the glass. The plastic scraper part seems pretty good so far, only time will tell on that. I generally end up throwing away my scrappers every year due to chips in the plastic scraper part that leave "pain in the neck" streaks in the ice. Hopefully this one will last. The edges of the scraper have 2 little notches cut out that says " Ice Chipper" although I haven't had to use that yet, i'm sure it will help if I have to. The brush part has heavy, thick bristles. A lot nicer than the previous ones I have purchased. At just over 23" long they are great for cars and trucks. I drive a 4x4 s10 blazer and I can reach well over half the window from one side. My wife has a Honda Civic and she can reach almost all the way over her window from one side. Over all I would recommend this to everyone based on the price and the quality of the scraper. You will pay twice this much for one that isnt as nice from your local wal mart or parts store. Time will tell on how long it lasts.
