I got these to replace a shoulder strap on my daughters massive binder that she carries around all day, it suffers much abuse. I used the shoulder pad from the previous strap on this strap, fit perfectly, and the hardware lasted the rest of the school year (5 months) and is still going strong now. I can't attest to how will they will do holding up a drum set etc. But it worked for our needs and I would purchase again if I needed to.

While I think the strap polyester is adequate, it's the hooks that are problematic. They have weird edges and are difficult to use. They look to be pressed out of sheet metal.I'm not using them for snare drums but having been in a marching band throughout high school and I would not recommend them for that purpose.I would take the money it costs to buy four of these and buy yourself one good strap. Look around on Amazon for a good strap, I don't think you'll be happy with these straps.Also, the strap is secured by what looks to be a single row of stitching. All straps such as these should have a much more substantial stitching pattern; like double stitching with an "X" pattern. Or even better, use rivets.
