The deadband is way too wide and it's too imprecise. I use the thermostat to control a fan in my sunroom. If I set the thermostat to 80°, it won't turn on until the temperature is much higher. Once the room gets cool, it won't turn off until it's down right chilly. I would have given it no stars but it does turn on and off.

It has the correct temperature range for an area, such as an attic, which one wants to ventilate with an exhaust fan to run when and only when the temperature in the area is greater than the highest expected outdoor temperature.I partially disassembled the thermostat to see the manner of its construction. It looks rugged and well designed.NOTE: I think one should use a separate device to keep the exhaust fan OFF in the event of a fire. One does not want a fire to turn on a thermostat which activates a fan to bring more air to the fire.

After two failed controls from Lowe's and many hours of frustration, we ordered this thermostat online and it has been great. It was easy to install and has worked like a charm ever since we put it in.
