I was surprised with the build quality of this tracer, the body is full metal, and has a nice heft to it. I tried it on my hicapa build, and it’s a little big for a pistol, but still functions perfectly. The muzzle imitation is a pretty cool effect, but if it’s not your thing you can turn it off(which will presumably make the battery last longer). The BBs are pretty bright which is nice, though I haven’t had a chance to use it an actual indoor field yet. I love the fact that you can clock the tracer to different rotations on the thread adapter so if you want to show the logo you can, and if you want to hide it you can. I think the tracer could use some improvements, Micro USB is a pretty aged connector, USB C would be a nice touch since everything else is moving to it. The other thing is the power button being decently hard to press. I’d imagine it’ll be impossible with gloves on.

The concept of this product is great and I loved the effects that it provides. Had a significant issue matching up threads to secure it however. Allen keys are tiny and grub screws easily stripped. Managed a workaround, but the manufacturer missed the mark with material quality.

I fired maybe 100 rounds through this unit and now it doesn’t work. I can’t even get an exchange. Buyers beware!Edit: I was contacted by the seller and their customer service was awesome. I wrote a review before contacting them and for that I’m sorry. Even though I might have received a defective item, the seller was great in making it right. I appreciate their help through this process.

It’s a good tracer unit for my airsoft replica, really like how easy it is to use and program each function. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars was that the set screw it comes with tends to get loose when running around during each game. Other than that it’s bright and really gives my tracer BBs a good glow and the battery life is good.

Functions well as intended, however for half length Stefan darts the outer part of the unit has been machined off centre (not concentric) to the barrel mounting collar meaning that the unit as a whole is not aligned correctly on the 16mm outer barrel. Essentially this means the foam darts get hung up in the tracer unit when firing or just fall out the end of the barrel. The odd darts that do fire have very poor accuracy and reduced velocity. My only option was to set up the complete unit in my lathe and machine a barrel adapter purposefully off centre to try and correct the issue.I’m sure for gel ball the tracer works perfectly (13mm internal diameter) I should have bought the more expensive model with the SCAR bearings in the unit intended for foam darts - buyer beware!

Well, recently purchased this tracer unit because so far in the market, this one was the cheapest and most reasonable priced ones yet. Well of course, the upsides is that it gets the job DONE. Just like any normal tracer unit in the market, this one was pretty simple and easy to install. So far, everything was going well. After receiving mine, I unboxed it and tried it out for its test trial. Well at first, it turned on for a few mins and died right away. Well, okay I’ll just charge it. Left it for at least 20-30 mins minimum to charge. Came back to check on it and it was doing fine and well. Used it and tried it with tracer BBs and I must say, it’s very impressive and well made for such a reasonable price. Well after enjoying every single bit of it on the first day, things went took a sour turn. After testing, I left it to charge again just to make sure I had enough battery capacity to ensure that it’d be able to make through a game day. As I was preparing, I went to check my tracer and to upsetting news, it wasn’t turning on. Yes I’ve inspected everything and yes, I made sure to not overcharge it as much as possible and to handle it with care. But even with doing all of that, something disappointing just has to happen. Well upset and disappointed, I wasn’t able to use it on a game and same goes if I’d be able to use it on the next game day this weekend. But overall, I liked my first expectations of this product and I was for sure had high hopes even though considerably it was cheap/reasonably priced. But at the end of day, things happen out of nowhere and you just have to remind yourself that you learn to invest into more expensive things rather than cheaping out a bit to save more but ending up with more of a less quality control. Overall, I’d probably give it another shot or maybe a solid 2.5/10. Again overall, make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into. Thanks!
