My 10 years old Tacktic anemometer needed repairs. The bearings were in bad shape and I decided since I have to climb the mast, to change the batteries. I was able to clean and oil the bearings to the point that was as close as when it was new. That was the easy part. Getting to the battery was a bit more difficult, the hardest part is to get the two parts of the "battery cover" to open. The Instructions are good, but you have to take time and be careful when trying to get the cover to open.Other than that, the kit works as expected, it comes with everything needed to replace the battery, and it I saved a lot of money by doing it myself.

I wasn’t sure the batteries were fully charged. Upon installation worked perfectly.

When I contacted Raymarine, they said send it back for repair.....that resulted in a $400 automatic charge.....I bought a whole new unit for $500 and am using the old for spare parts.............
