Good drive cable but too long on one end, could not be inserted far enough in the gear assy. for the housing to click in. Fell out of the mechanism. I had to grind 1/4" off the end, then file the taper farther back to get it to insert properly. Bought this item for price and 2-day delivery (not bad), but it cost me an extra hour or so to figure out the problem and make it fit.Be sure to lube the cable before installing. I used engine oil, anything similar will work but DON'T use WD-40, it will evaporate. I know from motorcycle cables.Side note: if your tailgate window goes down but not up, it's the safety interlock switch on the L side of the tailgate. Make a jumper with 4" of automotive wire and 2 spade terminals. Plug jumper into motor connector instead of the switch. You can reach it without removing the tailgate latch. I would make a jumper anyway to avoid future switch failure.
