I have tried so many things to allow water in and keep bugs out of my 300 gallon rain barrel. This was pricey but worked perfectly. Installation was simple, drop in, done. It is light and when we had hard rain it did float out. A fishing weight tied on with fishing line keeps it in place now. We’ll see how it holds up to Texas heat.

Have not used it yet so don't really know how it fits my 2500 gallon water tank.

It arrived with a week and half and it fit perfect to my 1000 gallons cistern. Bought a second filter for my son and it came in week. We are very happy.

Compared to the standard man way tank screens sold by other water harvesting vendors, these are very shallow and don't fit down into the tank manway correctly. Better than nothing, but I'll be ordering other brand from rain harvest site.

This is a 400mm diameter screen. It has a lip on the underside that would probably lock onto the barrel or tank that this is made for. However, it did not my 550 gallon norwesco tank (norwesco makes one) or my repurposed food grade barrels used to store rainwater. I used a multi-tool to remove the lip and it now fits perfectly on the rainwater barrels. I will need to fasten a couple of clamps to keep it from blowing away in the wind. This product is extremely well made.

I bought this for my rain water collection tanks, but it's too big to fit into the opening by at least 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Maybe my tank's 16" opening is slightly different than others. My tanks are short 1500 gallon units and they came with plastic screen filters that finally fell apart. They were more like pool leaf catchers and I was excited to find this SS mesh style. I guess you could cut around the diameter to make it fit, but I'd rather not hack up a $45 filter.

Used this on our 1500 gallon rain water tank. Works great! Mainly using it for bugs and such as we use first flush diverters on the downspouts for leaves, etc.
