This is the chin rest my son’s teacher recommended I get to replace the one that came with his violin. It did not come with the tool to tighten/loosen it so his teacher had to switch them out for him.

The item that was shipped was not the item pictured. The chinrest that shipped was a left side chinrest and I wanted the center chinrest that was pictured.

My student has a very long neck. This worked perfectly for him.

This chin rest is a little bit wider than the ones on our violins (we have 4), and my daughter and I both like the feel of this one. I will probably buy one or two more, and may buy a gel pad (if I can find one that fits) to see if that is even better.

Love this chin rest. I have had many chin rests that my jaw does not sit well on, causes quite a bit of pain. This one is shaped perfectly for me

the rounded chin rest works better for my daughter who just started playing the violin.

My daughter has tried numerous configurations of chin rest and shoulder rest on different size violins as she has grown. She has found that the Teka with a gel pad works best for her, even when she is adjusting other parts of her set-up. She discovered it while playing a 3/4 size, and now has one on each of her full-size violins.

The Teka chinrest is of medium height and scoop with a wide cup. It is very comfortable for me, but unfortunately, because of the scoop, the underside of the front end of it touches my tailpiece. I've got a lot of filing ahead of me to smooth it down. It attaches on the side of the violin.
