I actually really like the overall idea of this item, especially as an avid tennis player who wants to be able to communicate and teach my kids the fundamentals of the sport.I've seen other variations of this type of item in the past and they're always expensive. What I hoped, given the price especially, was that this one would be similar in quality and construction to others on the market.Sadly, it just isn't.First of all, it feels more like a prototype than a fully formed, fully developed product. It just doesn't feel "finished".Second, for a tennis item, this mysteriously has a badminton handle on it rather than a tennis handle. And, no, it's not just a small size or small scale tennis handle. It's a handle from a completely different sport. But, maybe all of that aside, perhaps it would still work in principle to develop some basic technique like acceleration. Yes, it does a bit, which is why it got the second star rather than simply being rated at one.If you have no acceleration technique at all, this could be helpful to learn how to accelerate your racquet towards the contact point. For what it's worth, the gratifying "snap" of the ball at the end of the pole when you reach peak acceleration near the point of contact is very nice. But, it's simply unforgivable that the tennis item uses a handle from a completely different sport. Sadly, this means that any muscle memory you build will be difficult if not impossible to transfer to actual tennis. Finally, the magnets are fairly weak. If you have anything other than beginner technique, you'll simply overwhelm them and the ball will snap well before the contact point. This is particular noticeable on serves where the "pop" comes well before you reach extension, even if you consciously take it slow.Because the magnets are so weak, this could actually reinforce bad technique even further because you're not accelerating enough.Overall, I think the concept of this item is good, but it's simply too expensive, does not seem finished, has weak magnets, and a handle from a different sport.Until those things are fixed, I just cannot recommend this one in good conscience.

My son plays tennis for the high school and struggles with his serve, so I thought this might help. The concept seems good, but it's just too easy to use it incorrectly which could actually worsen technique. The magnets aren't very strong, and so it's real easy to make the ball snap even on a bad serve. I even took it to his tennis coach who played on the college level, and even she said it is a great idea, but it just wasn't executed well through this product.
