I read the reviews and had very high hopes but I'd be lying if I said this was a winner. I've tried to hit the tennis ball every which way possible (hard, soft, high, low, driving straight towards the ground, aiming directly for the sky) and it just doesn't come back to me consistently enough to hit the ball even two times in a row. Unfortunately, this is complete trash.

I got this tennis trainer to help my son practice solo without needing a partner. The base is sturdy, and the rebound works well for keeping a good rhythm. The balls are durable, and the strings have held up so far. It’s lightweight and easy to take anywhere, which is great for quick practice sessions. Sometimes the string can tangle a bit or has come untied several times, but it’s not a big deal. Overall, it’s a great training tool, especially for beginners looking to improve their swing and reflexes.

This was a good switch from regular workouts. I needed a good arm and overall total body workout and this did it. It’s more fun and motivating than doing arm curls or being on a stationary elliptical or treadmill. It’s a simple, functional set up. If using indoors, fill the base with something heavier and solid like sand. The ball tends to not go where you want it if you don’t have much control over it. If you’re not privy to tennis this really is an easy, cheap, one-person practice tool.

My step son recently started playing tennis at school so thought this might be a big help for him to practice at home. Pretty simple fill up the base and attach the string to it to practice your swing. The base it great holds down once it’s full and has some anti skid pads on the bottom works great. The only draw back to it is when you hit the ball the string is elastic so the ball comes flying back at your feet. It’s kinda like watching him play jump rope with the ball when he hits it. He is not a big fan of that parts. lol I will try and find some regular string to attach it with to see if that helps.

First, this is no TopspinPro! For a price of less than $20, this is great trainer for the beginner! It does what is expected! My 12 year old who just got into tennis likes it very much. He uses it in the basement (because of winter). The fact that you don't need a wall or a partner to hit or practice is a big plus! The cord on the ball will make the ball behave in somewhat inconsistent and even random way or bounce. But for beginners this is helpful since they can learn how to handle an unexpected ball behavior and also helps with their reaction time. One thing though, for the ball to bounce back properly, you have to hit deep or high.BTW, it can provide a good workout too for even those who are not into tennis!
