I bought this strings as my violin teacher said this brand produces a warm tone, which I like. Barely 2+ months after I use this I hear a low humming echo when I bow. My old E string ( Dominant) did not produce that sound, as with the other old strings in my violin.

E string Snapped in under a week, second set I ordered is holding up great though.

I really liked the sound of the string, but it broke on the second day I had it on while I was using the fine tuner. I was really looking forward to the string settling more but it didn't even make it close to that point. It's especially disappointing given the cost of the string. I will probably be sticking with more reliable strings in the future. Really let down by a brand I normally love

very good E string..seems to resist buzzing and makes the sound from the instrument more balanced

These are great strings, however....We were looking for a string that would add some power on the E string. I had both our daughters and our instructor try this new E string. All three felt that a Dominant E or a Pirazzi gold label E produced superior tone with greater ease of playing - and at a much lower cost. Temper that thought with - strings should be matched with both the violin and the player. We finally settled on a set Pirastro Obligato and are now on our 3rd set. (Our instructor still prefers the tone of the Dominants, but the rest of the family feel the Obligatos are a clear winner. They are a little easier on the fingers for long sessions, changes are a little quicker and the tone is warm and sweet.
