My daughter asked around for string recommendations for her violin and everyone said dominant, I ended up getting her a different slightly cheaper brand and they didn't last long. Turns out I should have listened to the recommendations! She has had these on her violin for a while now and has had no problems and her sound quality is better!

The strings came on time and are a wonderful sound tonewise, unfortunately I was hoping for a darker sound to them though will give them some time to settle.

I have had good experience with Dominant violin strings before. So to my surprise my dominant string (G) from a set purchased from this vendor broke within a week after it was strung. It had been used rather sparingly and the instrument was in the case when the string snapped right in the middle or thereabouts. Don't know what to make of this.

Strings great a little steep at £43 but there dominant so worth the 3 stars, what lost it 2 stars was the £10 p&p that I didn't see, as when I purchased these there was no p& p amount mentioned....it's now listed......

Dominants are the perfect string for the advanced student. They sound great, but are very playable and aren't all that expensive.

The product shipped quickly and was as expected. I did not, however, realize that the E string was so thin and tiny. May have to get a separate E string because the one that comes with it is so super thin!
