Seems like pretty good quality besides the spot of rust or something along the rim on the outside. Taking a star of for that.I did scrub the hell out of the inside so hopefully no rust in there. Great quality for the price though...

I bought this to use with the tap system I bought. Unfortunately, it came with a defective O-ring. This spilt my beer and it went flat wasting the entire keg. I reached out to the company twice with no response. I then reached out to Amazon who asked the company to contact me. After two weeks, I have still not heard back from them. This is a $.10 part that was defective. With proper customer service this could’ve been an easy fix but seeing how important the O-ring is, I have to give a poor review because this is useless without a seal.

Just started brewing hard kombucha and bought this system. Second fermentation is easily done with the exhaust valve. When I bought the keg with tap it didn't come with exhaust valve. After swearing a storm and Homer Simponing it, finally got the damn cap off the pressurized keg. The valve makes me smile now.

I use it to transport gasoline. It is sealed. Pressure relief if one is ever needed, but useful to bleed the vapor pressure. I transport it in the back of the van and no smell. Can't say that for the normal gas can. The O-rings are still good a year later (thought they might die, but not even aged). It is only a gallon, but that is enough for my needs.

I got this growler for a different use than what it's intended for.I use stainless steel bottles and growlers as hot water bottles. This carries a risk so someone should really think it through before trying this at home. The stainless steel gets very hot when its filling with boiling water leading to the possibility of someone getting burned if they don't act cautiously.I have a number of steel Triple Tree water bottles which hold 34 oz. each and I have a Klean Kanteen steel growler that holds 64 oz.In researching what stainless steel growlers are out there to buy to add to my collection, I found this 128 oz. unit.Just arrived, and it's working out fine.I have two ways of heating the water in the bottles and growlers. One is to heat the water in a teapot, then fill the containers from the pot.The other is to put the containers right on the glass of an induction burner. This involves yet another risk: I have to make sure to remove the lids to avoid the build-up of steam that could lead to an explosion. The first thing I did with this growler was to fill it with cold water and test if it would heat up on the induction burner. Despite its concave bottom, the water came to a boil about as fast as it would have in the flat bottomed teapot.I was debating whether to review this product. I think the seller would much rather have had a first-reviewer that used the mini-keg for dispensing beer. After all, there are engineered details on this keg designed with beer, not water, in mind.*But it was hard to resist the opportunity to be the first reviewer.______*One of the problems I've encountered in using steel hot water bottles is removing the top after the water cools. The pressure drops in the bottles as they cool. This makes the bottles safer because it creates a vacuum that holds the tops down, preventing accidental openings. But it also makes it harder to take the top off.The clever mechanism at the top of this keg is intended to equalize pressure inside and outside the keg. I simply tug on the ring and there is a satisfying *fsssh* as air rushes in to fill the vacuum.
