Easy to install and much more sturdy than cheap battery switches. Switching the battery is very smooth and positive. They could have included a spare Nylock nut for the case. They’re tiny and VERY easy to lose when assembling the unit (I did).

The side post battery disconnect works perfectly fine. The top post disconnect is a hard one to use on my boat battery because you it is not long enough for my battery hookups and if battery is put in a battery tray it is too high to turn knob off. I will have to figure another way to route leads to disconnect.

This Trosfina Top Post Battery Disconnect Switch has an interesting design. An arm with a battery terminal clamp has been connected to one bolt of the switch and an arm with a battery terminal has been connected to the other bolt of the switch. As shipped, the arms extend from opposite sides but you can reconfigure it for adjacent sides. Additionally, since it is modular, you can add a terminal fuse block or remove an arm and directly connect a cable with lug.The terminal and terminal clamp are sized for the positive battery terminal only (negative-ground system.) Screws and nuts to secure the back-plate are included.

Easy to install and works great. I have a truck that i do not use very often and the battery is always dead when I try to start it after setting for a couple weeks. Now I pop the hood and turn on and bam it starts up. Only wish it had instructions but I must have it right. Works for me.

Solid cutoff switch for your car or other 12v powered transportation. The only thing I'm not crazy about was the fact that they shipped it barely assembled to save about 8 cubic inches of shipping box space. So make sure you tighten all the nuts down good so it doesn't come loose while you're driving and cuts off your engine.Thankfully even though it's listed as 275Amps, it will safely handle over 500 cranking amps when necessary.Update: a couple of weeks installed and just about every joint rattled loose. Nothing like having random electronics intermittently failing to make your morning. I tightened everything as best I could without changing washers and nuts out, which would defeat the purpose of buying an assembly like this. Too big, too loose; too cheap. At least the switch DOES work...

The top post battery disconnect switch is a heavy-duty switch used to disconnect the battery from the vehicle's electrical system. It is designed for use with top-post batteries, which have the terminals on the top of the battery, not on the side. I use this switch to disconnect the battery when my Honda CR-V is parked in the garage for more than a week. My Honda CR-V would not start the card after sitting out for more than a week due to a leaky battery. With this switch installed, I can easily connect and disconnect the battery negative terminal. Highly recommended!

Item description: automotive battery disconnect switchBrand: TrosfinaItem: B0DNMFXHY8Date received: 2025-02-21Headline: I like it, but it could be improvedProduct Claims1 ct, 12-48 VDC 275A rated battery disconnection rotary switch with integrated 12V automotive battery terminalscolor: red and blackThe switch itself works great, and it is relatively compact. A variety of connections can be made with the provided hardware, but the "standard" connection is going to be made with the two copper buss bars and the male and female automotive battery post connectors. You will need to spend a moment to assemble the hardware for the type of connection you want to make, but that's not a big deal. What I'm not tickled about are a couple of aspects of the connection hardware:1) the switch box bottom is removable to make mechanical/electrical connections, but the fasteners that positively attach the back are overly long 5 mm hex allen head screws with a lock nut - the screws are about 1-1/2 inch long, which does allow you to use these to fasten the switch down (if you like), but for the purpose of just closing the back they stick out by half an inch, so if you are just hanging this switch off the battery top they are annoying. As I installed it, I used just one of these screws in one of the corners, to keep the back on, and left the other 3 screws out.2) The electrical buss bar screw connections are not made with any type of locking thread. I suggest you add some lock-tight type of anti-vibration screw thread adhesive. My test install was in a car with a standard 12V battery. A solid four stars in the initial rating. I could give it 5 if not for the above. If I change my mind after use, I will update the review up or down.

I always use these to disconnect the battery from a vehicle that isn't going to be started for a while. This is way easier than having to physically disconnect the battery terminal each time. This device comes with mounting hardware so it can be surface mounted to almost anything in your vehicle. I like that this comes with a battery terminal built in so to isolate your battery you just install this between your battery positive terminal and your battery cable. Your existing battery terminal mounts to the post on this disconnect. The post and terminal are also removable if you want to connect this in line with traditional ring terminals and wire. This makes it versatile for many installation possibilities. Once installed you can turn the knob to either be on or off. On is green and off is red. Always check the disconnect functions properly before you finish installation.
