This stuff (funny pipe) is the "schedule 40" version of poly tube. I've replaced all of the "regular" poly irrigation tubing in my yard with Toro funny pipe. The old "regular" tubing was roughly 10yrs old and I was fixing at least 1 leak (sometimes 2 or 3) every week or 2 - I'm NOT exaggerating. Since replacing with funny pipe (about 2yrs ago), I've fixed exactly 1 leak (excluding broken dripper heads) -- and it was due to a defective coupler -- not a leak in the tubing. Connecting the 1/4inch spaghetti tubing to this thick-wall tube is a bit of a pain. But once you get a method developed, it's not too bad. I live in the desert. Leaks waste a precious resource and waste money. You're morally obligated to fix leaks as quickly as possible. I'm jazzed that I'm not constantly under the thumb of THAT moral obligation any more.

I am using this as buried trunk lines for our drip irrigation systems. It is easy to work with and a good bang-for-the-buck.

I had to move a sprinkler heads. I screwed a female elbow on the pipe in the ground, screwed on a piece of this funny pipe and then screwed on a male elbow on the end of the funny pipe. Then screwed on the old sprinkler head and reburied everything. No glue or pipe tape needed. The hard part was the digging.

We've been using this for drip irrigation for quite a while and the local hardware companies either ran out of it or no longer carry it. We use this for main lines exclusively since it's both flexible and strong. Price was right and material was exactly what we wanted.

Very sturdy pipe. Bought bard connectors to slip these on and move sprinklers. Well built. I heat these with a small lighter to make them easier to push on the connectors.
