It's great to be able to adjust water flow based on the plant.

Some of these do not turn off (down flow)

Some kind of animal chewed off the green tops making these useless. I bought these to be able to close off the flow if needed. They installed easily and the flow of water was easy to adjust. After a couple days something had chewed through the green nozzle. I don't have this problem for a similar irrigation nozzle that is black. I suppose these would be alright if hidden beneath foliage, but mine were exposed.

These are so easy to use. My patio plants are so happy. Adjustable without the green adjustment cap coming off.

You can't beat the price on these little sprinkler heads. I installed them in my window boxes and they work pretty well. Two tips: Check for water flow before installing this emitter along your system, because removing it from your quarter-inch tubing after the fact is kind of a hassle and the barb isn't sturdy enough to stand up to much re-fitting. And don't open (unscrew) the emitter too far if you have any kind of water pressure. Several green caps have blown right off my system on start up, and have gone out into the garden where I couldn't find them again. These are inexpensive enough to get some spares in case of these problems.

I only bought these to get the caps to replace on previous emitters already in my system.
