16.2 tb, I only needed stirrup to be a bit lower than where I need them for riding so this is perfect. Yes, if it’s too low (as per other reviews) it will swing under horse’s belly so I guess it depends on your flexibility and strength if it’ll work for you. It’s very well made. You can either let hit hang or clip to your breast collar ring w/a carabiner.

I'm 4'10 and this has been a great help, especially knowing if I need to get off my horse on trails I am able to get back on with the help of this.

I read the other reviews that showed that the stirrup was different than pictured. I was hoping it was a fluke. It is not! I received the soft stirrup as posted in the other reviews. I wouldn't have so much had a problem if it was priced accordingly but this one lacks the quality of the solid stirrup. Buyer beware. This seller is pulling a bait and switch.

This stirrup and attached strap would probably work great on a western saddle with a horn. But, I use endurance type saddles. There is no way to attach to a saddle without a horn - even though some of my saddles have an opening in the gullet.

It works for what I bought it for, but is harder to use than the type of stirrup that is pictured in the product description. This is fully nylon web, with no hard parts except the buckle. An equestrian would likely be disappointed.

We hooked this to the D rings on the right side and through the D rings on the left side so the stirrup helper is just below the actual stirrup. Yeah if you have it long your gonna have a hard time! My mare is 16hh, and this while a little more "stretchy and not as firm" as the stirrup it 100% did what I need. We also hook it to the D ring once we get on so it doesn't slap around when my mare trots.

Product was well made and easily adjustable. Did not work for me at all. Put right foot in it, balanced hands on saddle, put wt on right foot, lifting left and zoom…. Swung under horse like a hammock. Horse turned to look …. Shook her head and hoped no one saw. Watched You-tube again, tried with wedging right foot against horse front leg … nope, if I could contort like that wouldn’t need step. I think this is my issue, so recommend you try with free return, cause if it works … easy, quick and light weight.

I am 5' 4" and of "average" weight (130ish). When I was in my 40's I had a 16.3 hh horse. NEVER any issues getting up on that beats. Eight years ago I got out of horse ownership (kids grew up and left the nest). Fast forward to now. I'm still 5' 4" (ok, maybe now only 5' 3") and I wanted to get back into horse ownership. I knew the days of getting on a 16.3 hh horse were over so I bought a SMALL Quarter Horse, standing at only 14.2 HH. Much to my dismay I was having a heck of a time trying to get on her! Call it old age (I'm now 55) or issues with a prior back surgery but I just was having a heck of a time. I trail ride so getting off and on regularly was a must. I started looking for any type of mounting aid that would come to my rescue. NONE of them were rated higher than a 3 so I was very skeptical when I ordered this. I brought it out to the barn, saddled, up, hooked it up over the saddle horn and BEHIND (not in front of) the stirrup. I fully expected to swing back and forth or under the horse as other reveiws reported. However, I stepped in with my RIGHT foot, put my left foot in my stirrup and up and over I went. Settled nicely in the saddle, removed the aid, put it in the case and off I went. Stopped on the trail twice and tried to get on myself without the aid (not happening!). Used the aid again and NO issues at all. No swinging, no feeling of being unstable, nothing. Again, I'm 55. Not sure why some people had such issues. I didn't adjust the length at all from how it arrived. Full length. Probably hung a full 6" or so below my own stirrup. Would recommend. If you are having issues you are probably doing it wrong.
