Softer was painted black . No need to paint .heavy duty other than the paint which I will sand blast , pan will work great

The fit and finish on this product is terrible. The massive hole in the corner and over all just scabbed togetherness of this is enough to make you mad. Should have just made my own. I got it because it appeared to be heavy and be able to withstand the abuse, and it definitely is heavy, it’s just the lack of “give a care” or “pride” in your work that is aggravating.I get it’s just a dirt sifter… but at the same time it’s just a dirt sifter, you’re not building a Swiss time piece do a better job. Big gaps, Tack welds are trash and less than strong. The expanded metal not seated flush in the pan and has been tacked where it was clearly broken.

This is solid and does a good job but it is much much smaller than I thought it would be. That was my fault I did not pay attention when ordering.

Strong Sifter! no complaints, get it you wont be disappointed, comes with a bit of some type of preservative or something, so simmer it clean, I did it anyway for any odor that might reside on the sifter.. other than that, you cannot buy a better one, and i've had 2 fairly nice ones before this one, and they could not even compete with these sifters, if that says anything, sift screen is tac-welded in it. Sturdy, no give solid metals! 10-10 rating for me!
