Flavor Name: Baked chestnut & roasted sugarA very nice tea that should satisfy most tea lovers. This is a higher end tea that is delicate, yet full of flavor that's somewhat on the bold side without the deepness of a black tea. To those not familiar with this sort of a tea, it's almost like a blend of high quality black and green tea leaves in equal amounts. Not astringent which makes it easier to drink without adding any sort of cream or other additions. Soothing, yet slightly stimulating. Wonderful anytime of day. Also works well as a dinner tea.Any sweetness in the leaves is only minor. Just enough so that you won't need any added unless you love your tea heavily sweetened. But I'd suggest not adding much of anything because it will mask the delicacy of the tea leaves. I can definitely taste the chestnut in these leaves. Would be lovely to drink alongside a fireplace.

This is an easy to brew oolong tea leaf package. It is made in Taiwan so I trust it more than your average one from China. The flavor is great and spot on with most oolong tea you find in the states. The price is not too bad for this type of tea and I will definitely buy more if there's a sale!

It’s a great tea but very Smokey and dark not for everyone. I prefer to do 1 or 2 rinses before I get a brew that I enjoy.

This is a really nice Oolong tea. It has a lovely scent when you open the sealed package, and it makes a delicious cup of tea.I actually used too many leaves the first cup I made, because they soaked up the water and filled up my tea infuser. These are real dried leaves and flowers, and they expand a lot when you soak them. It's beautiful enough to make a lovely gift as well, if you decide you want to share this delicious tea with a friend. But I'd keep for it myself. ;)

This is the best Oolong I have ever bought. The flavor is rich and sweet and lasts infusion after infusion. An amazing tea!

Good tea, but you have to experiment a bit or know how to brew tea like an expert or have handy gear with you to bring out the optimal conditions/taste for the tea, as the instructions are minimal and given as a ratio of tea leaves to water and ideal water temperature and ideal brewing time written in math annotation. Also keep the box or note down the instructions as I didn't find it on the bag inside. For tea ratio, you kind of wing it if not an expert, how many teaspoons to how many ounces of water do you correlate for the ratio? Looking online seems the average is 1-2 teaspoons per (6-8 oz) cup of water. Can try that with this tea, or if following 1:5 ratio that may mean 5 cups of water per 1-2 teaspoons of tea.For tea brewing temperature, you'd need gear that tells you the water temperature if you care to follow those directions and not wing it. For brew time, they note 1'30", I assume that means 1 minute 30 seconds or I could be wrong.I like how the tea is shipped vacuum sealed for freshness, I've not had any tea stored that way so far.

I am a huge fan of oolong teas such as Iron Goddess of Mercy and Tung Ding (Ice Mountain). This Trilliant-Traditional dong ding also tastes delicious with hints of nuts and apricots. But these tastes I only discovered after many days of experimenting.Ordinarily one tablespoon of dried oolong leaves can produce four or five tasty infusions. But not so for this oolong. At the most, one tablespoon of leaves yielded two infusions. So I initially rated the tea one star and received a complete refund from the vendor. But I continued experimenting, and found that using two tablespoons of dried leaves yielded about three and possibly four infusions. Hence the new rating of four stars because so many leaves are required to produce a tasty infusion compared to similarly described oolongs like Iron Goddess of Mercy.I suspect the tea had lost some of its essential oils, but the label (see photo) indicates the tea was packed just some three months before I had purchased it. It did arrive in a vacuum-sealed package.
